It was meant to be some big epic and elaborate movie with huge budget and Brad Pitt attached to it. Think it was going to be called 'The Last Man' or something like that. Got shut down after disputes but DA was given the option of resurrecting it if he could slash it all in half (length/cost), which he eventually did. I love The Fountain but part of it do feel a tad rushed and incomplete (like the conquistador sequences which were rumoured to be more extravagant with large battles etc) |
