Best Metal Albums

My favorite Metal albums that Ive listen to so far. Ill be honest, its rmostly metal-core so if ryou're not into that you might want to take a pass. No EPs included. As always, suggestions are rwelcome.
25Underoath
Define the Great Line

A good metal album for when youre in the mood for Underoath
24Atreyu
A Death-Grip on Yesterday

The last metal cd they made, its good but nothing too special
23Metallica
...And Justice for All

A classic metal album that paved the road for many others
22August Burns Red
Thrill Seeker

Good drumwork on this one. Some songs are hit or miss
21 Five Finger Death Punch
The Way of the Fist

Dont take these guys too seriously, but the music is fun
20Metallica
Death Magnetic

Metallica's recent return to form can still be a good listen
19Between the Buried and Me
The Silent Circus

Early work from BTBAM, has times where it seems like a masterpiece.
18As I Lay Dying
Shadows are Security

Consistant album from As I Lay Dying. They kinda stick to a formula though,
but at least it works
17Bleeding Through
The Truth

Half the songs here are amazing, half will make you hate music
16August Burns Red
Messengers

Its like a continuous break down, but in a good way.
15Between the Buried and Me
Alaska

One of the heaviest/most melodic (at times) albums of all times. Also has
some real shit on it too.
14Metallica
Master of Puppets

Another classic metal album thats still worth listening to today
13Trivium
Ascendancy

Wouldve been higher, but the bad songs really weigh it down
12Protest the Hero
Fortress

Cool concept album from Protest the Hero. The vocals get alittle old by the
end of it.
11Atreyu
Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses

Pre-sell out Atreyu's best work. It gets alittle repetitive but is still very good
10Trivium
Shogun

A solid outing from Trivium, this one needs time to grow on you
9 Unearth
III: In the Eyes of the Fire

An excellent collection of metal songs. A big improvement musically from the
last cd.
8Trivium
The Crusade

No one really gives this one a fair chance because of lack of screaming, but
its really good.
7As I Lay Dying
An Ocean Between Us

As I lay Dying shows a much more melodic side with this one. The guitarists
have been practicing a alot
6All That Remains
The Fall of Ideals

One of the first metal cds Ive listened to, still enjoy it today
5August Burns Red
Constellations

Like Messengers but much more melodic and even better
4As I Lay Dying
The Powerless Rise

As I Lay Dying's best effort so far. The guitarists lead abilities are very
prominent on this one
3The Human Abstract
Nocturne

This one stays melodic yet is heavy the whole way through.
2Between the Buried and Me
The Great Misdirect

Great album by BTBAM. This one has a little bit of everything, Colors barely
has it beat. This and Colors are the only two metal albums I can listen to on
repeat.
1Between the Buried and Me
Colors

Very good album that blends from start to finish. Lots of dynamic changes
and very good musically
