Best Alternative/post-punk Albums
My favorite Alternative and Post-Punk Albums. Kinda vague genre, rbut it makes sense grouped this way for some reason. No EPs rincluded. |
| 25 | | Louis XIV The Best Little Secrets are Kept
Extremely catchy, very funny. Alittle simple though. |
| 24 | | Caesars Paper Tigers
New take on old ideas. No bad songs found here, but not many amazing
ones either. |
| 23 | | The Kooks Konk
Simple, enjoyable, relaxing. Give it a try if you like stuff like this |
| 22 | | Green Day American Idiot
Most popular Green Day album (i think) Its good, but alittle overdone at
points. (A play, seriously?) |
| 21 | | Hot Hot Heat Elevator
Good all around album, feel like a collection of singles at times. |
| 20 | | Against Me! New Wave
Against Me! have a new (possibly sold-out?) sound. Different, but still good |
| 19 | | The Klaxons Myths of the Near Future
A fun album to listen to. Not the best, but the good songs here make it
worth it. |
| 18 | | The Mars Volta De-Loused In the Comatorium
Very good album from a very talented group |
| 17 | | Muse Showbiz
First album from Muse is great. They only get better from this point on. |
| 16 | | Gorillaz Demon Days
One of the most interesting albums I ve ever heard, this ones got alittle of
everything. |
| 15 | | Arctic Monkeys Favourite Worst Nightmare
More intense and a musical improvement over the first cd, but some songs
leave something to be desired |
| 14 | | The White Stripes Elephant
First Cd i ever bought. Great album, White Stripes best work in my opinion. |
| 13 | | Sum 41 All Killer No Filler
Best Super-Pop-punk album ever. Didnt belong in the punk list, kinda fits here. |
| 12 | | The Strokes Room On Fire
Not as catchy as thier first cd, but for the most part a big step up musically |
| 11 | | The Automatic Not Accepted Anywhere
Personally, I think most the songs on here are dance worthy and sing out
loud. I do like background vocals, which I could see a lot of people disliking. |
| 10 | | The Gaslight Anthem American Slang
Almost as good as 59 sound, a great album |
| 9 | | Arctic Monkeys Whatever People Say I Am Thats What Im Not
Refreshing album from not america, cool. |
| 8 | | We Are Scientists With Love and Squalor
Nothing drastically new, just one of the best and most enjoyable albums in
a while. |
| 7 | | Weezer Weezer (The Blue Album)
Fun album from start to finish. Good enough to make you to listen to
Weezer again after raditude. |
| 6 | | The Gaslight Anthem The 59' Sound
Emotional and musically awesome. Dont pass this one up |
| 5 | | The Strokes Is This It
A quick cd that gets in, leave a lasting impression, then ends before
getting too repetitive |
| 4 | | Weezer Pinkerton
Great album that gets better with each listen. |
| 3 | | Muse Origin of Symmetry
A classic from Muse. The songs on here are unbelievably good. |
| 2 | | Dr. Manhattan Dr. Manhattan
The most unique and fun to listen to post-punk album of all time. Incredibly under-appreciate; the song
writing musically is so complex and unexpected |
| 1 | | Muse Absolution
Muse's best album. Thats saying a lot, its that good. |
