02.24.11 Acoustic Folk11.08.10 Great Moments In Metal

Great Moments In Metal

not saying theyre my favorite, because there's too many moments to choose which are best, but these are a few that i really liked (in no particular order).
1Opeth
Bleak

3:12 - 4:25 one of my favorite clean vocal parts from opeth.
2Unearth
Grave of Opportunity

0:25 - 0:58 an example of a well placed breakdown, and how breakdowns can not suck if used properly.
3Morbid Angel
Summoning Redemption

4:40 - 5:24 epic guitar solo, i have this as my ringtone.
4Death
Spirit Crusher

1:16 - 2:00 the chorus. chuck sounds like hes pushing out those words with everything hes got. SPIRIT...CRUSHEEEER!!!1!!!11
5Nile
Sacrifice Unto Sebek

0:00 - 0:30 the intro to this song is just badass.
6Immolation
Unpardonable Sin

0:56 - 1:14 "Show me you're real, Prove your greatness, Can you show me that you really loved us That you really died to save us from damnation, I don't think you can and I don't think you will" cool lyrics, but most importantly, the vocals go along really well with the guitars on this part.
7Dissection
The Somberlain

2:25 - 3:40 the interlude sounds very, umm, somber. the keyboard adds a lot to the atmosphere, and the lyrics/vocals help too.
8In Flames
December Flower

1:25 - 2:10 great guitar solo. plus, it transitions back into the main riff really well.
9Obituary
Chopped In Half

0:00 - 0:40 brutal start to a song. CHOPPED IN HALLLFFEFJIDFH. FEEL THE BLOOD SPILL FROM YOUR MOUTH + that riff + double bass= 0.0
10Suffocation
Cataclysmic Purification

3:40 - 4:55 those pinch harmonics sound robotic, almost like a computer trying to talk...idk if anybody else would think so, but thats what i got from it. sounds fucking sweet.
