Escape the Fate BLOWS

This is how I would rank the greatest band of all time.
1The Mars Volta
Frances the Mute

This album contains the legendary Cassandra Gemini. This reminds me of 9th grade when I used to listen to the Widow all the time and all my friends thought TMV sucked. Cygnus.. Vismund Cygnus is the highlight song for me.
2The Mars Volta
De-Loused in the Comatorium

This is back when there were only 5 dudes in the band. This one has one of the most epic album openings of all time. NOW I'M LOOOOOOSTT. You can't go wrong with Inertiatic ESP, This Apparatus Must Be Unearthed, Televators, Eriatarka, Roulette Dares... Fuck, this album rules.
3The Mars Volta
Amputechture

People give this album a lot of shit. I can see why because Vicarious Atonement, although a beautiful song, is a little too long for an opening track. Tetragrammaton kicks ass. The single, Vermicide, has a pretty good chorus but doesn't do much more. Viscera Eyes and the Day of the Baphomets will always be my two favorite Mars Volta songs. Love the segue between the two.
4The Mars Volta
The Bedlam in Goliath

While this contains a handful of great tracks, like Metatron, and Goliath, I always get bored after Ouroborous and put on Frances the Mute. The drumming is awesome in this album, but I miss when the Mars Volta was a little more dark. This is a lot more in your face. Not to say it doesn't kick ass.. I just feel like the band has ceased to give off the mysterious vibe they gave from the start.. The jam at the end of Aberinkula rules.
5The Mars Volta
Octahedron

I couldn't get into any of this besides Cotopaxi.
