Underrated Metalcore Bands

They are what they are. These metalcore bands, mostly from the r'90s, just aren't as well known as they should be, especially on rSputnik, and deserve much more recognition. 1-4 were also on my rhardcore list because of how borderline they are.
1Deadguy
Fixation on a Coworker

Extremely influential and led to the more rhythmically complex metalcore.
2Rorschach
Autopsy

One of the very first metalcore bands and helped form the genre with its
own evolution. The breakup led to the formations of other bands
(Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye, and Playing Enemy).
3Unbroken
Life. Love. Regret.

Seriously, this is the best band/album to come from the early metalcore scene.
4Strife
In This Defiance

One of the first bands to come from Victory Records, when the label was
relevant.
5Harvest
Transitions

I can't believe that I had to add this onto the database. One of the best
albums from the '90s.
6Snapcase
Progression Through Unlearning

Another Victory Records band. Many deem this album as a landmark.
7Morning Again
Martyr

Heavy straight edge from Florida.
8Arkangel
Dead Man Walking

The most sinister metalcore album that I've heard. I might review this one day.
9Will Haven
Carpe Diem

Mostly metalcore, but the band also features heavy, dropped down sludgy guitar riffs that are as infectious as
they are deadly.
10Throats
Throats

This got some attention when it first came out, but has since died down. Top five for 2010 so far.

Diablerie

Extra heavy.
12The Blinding Light
The Ascension Attempt

My current dig as of now. The artwork is what really got me to listen to it and it seriously should be up there
with Coalesce and others if the band had released more music.
13Playing Enemy
I Was Your City

Mathcore, very much like Botch but more than just a clone. The drummer was in Rorschach. Surprising only a
three-piece.
14 Curl Up and Die
Unfortunately We're Not Robots

Grind influences.
15Kiss It Goodbye
She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not

The last of the bands related to Rorschach. Formed with members of Deadguy.
16Integrity
Those Who Fear Tomorrow

Integrity gets some credit on Sputnik, but not nearly enough. This may have been the very first metalcore
record and it is more than worth every second.
17Earth Crisis
Destroy the Machines

Known just as much for their super veganisms as for being a critical band in the genre. One of the most
important albums too.
18Starkweather
This Sheltering Night

Another one of the earliest bands. Less accessible than others.
19Narrows
New Distances

Dave Verellen's, former Botch vocalist, newer band. Remains very similar to his legendary former band,
though not THAT good, and features members of Some Girls and Unbroken.
20Ringworm
The Promise

From the same place, around the same time as Integrity.
