Desert Island Albums

The albums I'd want with me if I was stranded on a desert island. I'd probably have no way of playing them back unless I could create a primitive CD player and find a power outlet but I have limited experience in that field. No more than one album per artist and in no specific order.
1David Bowie
Low

Difficult choice to take this above Station to Station or Ziggy Stardust. I'd probably stash those two inside the CD case. Who would find out anyway? But this would be my pick because I want some variety.
2Bob Dylan
Blood on the Tracks

Being stranded on a desert island would be a depressing experience and this album would fit the theme.
3Elliott Smith
XO

I slightly prefer Either/Or but I'd take this one along.
4The Beatles
Abbey Road

Just ahead of Revolver.
5Metallica
Master of Puppets

At times I would become angry. Why am I alone on a desert island? How did I end up in this situation? This would be the album I'd put on.
6Mos Def
Black On Both Sides

Personal favourite.
7A Tribe Called Quest
The Low End Theory

Smooth.
8Thrice
Vheissu

Would cover a range of emotions - versatile and essential desert island listening.
9 Sigur Ros
( )

For relaxation.
10Sarah Blasko
What the Sea Wants, the Sea Will Have

My favourite of her three albums. More variety to my 15 albums.
11At the Drive-In
Relationship of Command

A long time favourite.
12Refused
The Shape of Punk to Come

I'd bury this in the sand when I die so in years to come it could be discovered and people can discover how music should be made.
13Radiohead
Kid A

For similiar reasons to Low, but In Rainbows would come close.
14Michael Jackson
Thriller

One of the highest selling records of all time, most households would have a copy and every desert island should too.
15Jimi Hendrix
Electric Ladyland

Imo the most challenging but rewarding of his three studio albums. I could lay back and groove on a rainy day.
