Favourite Artists, A Through Z

My favourite artists, from A to Z.
1At the Drive-In

Runner up - The Arcade Fire.
Relationship of Command is a brilliant album.
2Bob Dylan

Runner up - The Beatles
Dylan narrowly edging out the Beatles, but tough call.
3Circa Survive

Runners up - Coheed, Cold Chisel, Cat Stevens.
I don't listen to any of these four a great deal at the moment.
4David Bowie

No contest.
5Elliott Smith

Easy call.
6Florence and the Machine

The only competition in my iTunes library at the moment for 'F' is two songs from Sinatra. Disappointing.
7Grizzly Bear

Runners up - Gorillaz and George Harrison.
Based purely on the strength of Veckatimest.
8Humperdinck. Engelbert Humperdinck.

Don't own any of the man's records but it's a great name.
9Incubus

Not a huge fan any more but the only competition is Ice Cube.
10The Jimi Hendrix Experience

Janelle Monae and Joanna Newsom as runners up.
11Kate Bush

My other choices here are Kasabian, Kings of Leon and Kylie Minogue. Disappointing.
12Led Zeppelin

Runners up are Laura Marling and Lisa Mitchell.
13Mos Def

Toughest call since 'B'. Mos Def edges out the Mars Volta, Metallica and Michael Jackson.
14Nas

Narrowly beating Nick Drake.
15Opeth

Only actually own one album of theirs - don't mind it.
16Poison the Well

Runners up are Pearl Jam.
17Queen

Beating Queens of the Stone Age, Queensryche, Queen Latifah and an assortment of other similiarly named artists.
18Radiohead

Fairly easy choice, with Refused and the Roots as runners up.
19Sarah Blasko

Best voice.
20Thrice

Consistent quality. A Tribe Called Quest place second.
21UB40

Red Red Wine? Bit of a stretch.
22Van Morrison

On the strength of Brown Eyed Girl. In a cred crushing revelation, the runners up are the Veronicas who I don't actually listen to at all but twins man!
23Wu Tang Clan

They aren't nothing to fuck with.
24Xzibit

Not a fan of Xzibit to be honest. X is difficult. Runner up is Xylophone music, just in general. Interesting instrument.
25Yellowcard

Once again, not a fan but the list must go on.
26Ziggy Marley

In hindsight A-Z wasn't a great idea for a list.
