09.24.10 | not really dude (@Opblaaskonijn). This isn't ranked, it's chronological, and I don't really know how I would rank them other than that Jupiter is the best |
Athom
09.24.10 | one of the best bands evvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr |
AnotherBrick
09.24.10 | hey proggy, this anything i'd like? |
NeutralThunder12
09.24.10 | @Brick
I dunno. Their old work (first two releases) are metalcore/hardcore, but after that it was a Prog/Experimental rock album, than an alternative rock release, then an album that fused their early work with the later work. Each album is really a different style. "Until Your Heart Stops" would be like Converge or Botch, "Jupiter" like Dredg or Thrice (Vheissu era Thrice), "Antenna" like a more accessible version of the one before it, and "Perfect Pitch Black" like a mix of their old and new. You may really like "Jupiter", so check that out. |
Athom
09.24.10 | the perfect mix of all their sounds is the Planets of Old ep. |
AnotherBrick
09.24.10 | hmmm well i'll be sure to stay away from the core ones. but dredg/vheissu era thrice sounds like i'd love it |
NeutralThunder12
09.24.10 | Yeah, and Jupiter is their best (imo), you should try that.
And @Redsky, funny thing is with my ADD I haven't actually sat through a full Cave In album from beginning to end, but have loved songs from each album that I heard. Havent heard Planets of Old though, but based on what is said about I would say that most people agree with you |
Athom
09.24.10 | @brick you should still give Until Your Heart Stops a chance. it's my favorite of theirs.

09.24.10 | that actually was pretty sweet and i normally dont get into that type. gonna have to go d/l that once i get back to my apt |
NeutralThunder12
09.24.10 | Juggernaut is easily the best song from their hardcore days. Though i could name one or two off Hypothermia that
could contend. |
DoubtGin
09.24.10 | whoa, only listened to Jupiter (and didnt like it that much) but "Juggernaut" is awesome |
Athom
09.24.10 | crossbearer, flypaper, and moral eclipse give it a run for its money |
NeutralThunder12
09.24.10 | flypaperrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr |
