| Pieces Of History
Since I can't work nor do, well, really anything until a doctor clears me, I decided to go through a bunch of boxes of pictures and whatnot out of sheer boredom. I happened to find a collection of old ticket stubs from concerts I went to over the past 10-15 years. Here's a nice little list of my ten favorite shows out of the 20-30 stubs I found. | | 1 | Fugazi
Yes, I got to see their last show in South Florida, and it was my favorite live performance of all time. Eat that, Porch. | | 2 | Strapping Young Lad
Right after their self-titled came out. I remember them opening up with "All Hail the New Flesh." After that, it's all a blur of psychotic tendencies and amazing music. | | 3 | Testament
Alex Skolnick and Chuck Billy FTMFW! | | 4 | Ministry
Al is a fucking nutcase, as evidenced by him offering me a bindle of heroin when I ran into him at a bar the night before. | | 5 | Underoath
No, not Spencer-era UO, but Dallas-era UO. Shit was ridiculous. | | 6 | Poison the Well
Being able to watch them and Thrice from onstage was epic. I've never really been one for a mosh pit, so that was the ultimate for me. | | 7 | Megadeth
This is the most recent one(November of 2009). Even though my night was almost ruined by Suicide Silence and their fans, as well as the kid who said to me, with a norma jean shirt on, "Norma Jean is as metal as it gets," MegaDave and the band were amazing. It didn't hurt that Machine Head opened up for them. | | 8 | Gallows
If you've seen my list, "Brawls! Brawls! Brawls! And More Brawls!," you'd know that this was a pretty entertaining show. Right after Orchestra of Wolves came out, I went and saw these guys and saw Frank beat the living shit out of a roadie. It also didn't hurt that the band itself was fantastic. | | 9 | 7 Seconds
If it wasn't for the pathetic fans, this would have been higher on my list. If you're straight edge, that's cool. Form a band(like 7 Seconds), but don't try and fight me because I'm having a beer up in the balcony. | | 10 | In Flames
I don't know if it was just one of those things, but I'm one of the few people I know on this site that has the balls to say In Flames is a great live band. They sounded amazing, and the energy in the place was suffocating. | |

09.21.10 | Oh man, do I rule or what? | Spec
09.21.10 | Now post the shitty bands you were embarrassed to mention. I'v got a few of those like Three Days Grace.
In Flames was one of the best live shows i'v been too. | TheSpirit
09.21.10 | Watched a Megadeth documentary today and have been listening to them non-stop since then. But yeah Norma Jean... metal... | BigHans
09.21.10 | I thought you said you didnt like Machine Head | Intothepit
09.21.10 | I was thinking about that. List would include Papa Roach(who I got to hang out with before and after their show, and they were pretty cool guys), Blindside, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park.... | BigHans
09.21.10 | and I saw that same Megadeth tour, skipped the Suicide Silence set | coneren
09.21.10 | 2 would be awesome | Intothepit
09.21.10 | "I thought you said you didnt like Machine Head"
I don't like Machine Head because whatever trend is going on at that moment in metal, they jump on the bandwagon. If we're talking about thrash-era Machine Head(which is exactly how they were playing and acting at that show) then we can chat. | Counterfeit
09.21.10 | "Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park...."
wtf bro.
If you can't say that the Bizkit bring it live then i hate you. | eternium
09.21.10 | In Flames is definitely an awesome live band. | Intothepit
09.21.10 | Lol, eternium. The last time I said that, I got raped by the whole site. | TheSpirit
09.21.10 | Burn My Eyes was awesome, but I never really liked The More Things Change. The Blackening Was good too. | Intothepit
09.21.10 | I didn't say they weren't good live, Feit. I just said that going to that show isn't something I'm proud to say. | cvlts
09.21.10 | pics or gtfo | Intothepit
09.21.10 | Which one do you want pics of, This Life? I only have pics(that I can find) of 5,6, 8, and 10 | Counterfeit
09.21.10 | be proud | porch
09.21.10 | have you heard Pailhead, pit? i assume the answer is yes but just checking | americanmusicmachine
09.21.10 | MOTHERFUCKING ELITE | Intothepit
09.21.10 | Lol, no I haven't Porch. I just looked it up. Sounds extremely intriguing. | Inveigh
09.21.10 | yeah In Flames puts on a pretty good show, though their stage presence isn't anything to write home about.
fucking jealous of the Fugazi show of course | porch
09.21.10 | get Trait as soon as possible, it rules | BigHans
09.21.10 | Burn My Eyes rules face. As does Ashes of Empires and the Blackening. The rest, not so much. | eternium
