09.19.10 | I'm glad someone has said this. There's no question that Nirvana are overhyped and overrated, but I think that causes some people to hate them more than they otherwise would. I'd agree that they have a lot more in common with punk than with bands like Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains. I think of grunge as more of an era or period of time than a genre or style of music. |

I got a few dumb responses and a bunch of really good ones. I like Nirvana, and I think that people should have a good reason to dislike, like Baphomet. It's like a bad reason to hate ATRU is that they have a female singer. There are good reason to hate any band, Nirvana included. I just wondered why it was seemingly so popular to hate Nirvana. |
