Willie 09.09.10	If they get Mark Zonder (ex-Fates Warning) no one will even notice. He's a better, classier drummer. They could try to get the drummer from Cynic, too. There are alternatives and none of them involve the crappy harsh vocals that Portnoy had been including in the last few releases.

Motiv3 09.09.10	Whilst Portnoy was a big influence on the writing maybe this isnt such a bad thing. As Willie said his laughable vocals and his cheesy awful lyrics will be gone so thats a plus and as far as i know the direction they went in with systematic chaos and black clouds, the more metal direction was mainly due to Portnoy, so again its not a bad thing seeing as systematic chaos was a bad album (black clouds was excellent despite the awful lyrics). Im sure DT can find a talented enough drummer to fill Mike's shoes. But whoever they choose is gonna have a tough time living up to the fan's expectations.

I completely respect his decision and thoughts, he has every right to cut his ties and take a break for once in 25 years, I just feel extremely let down as a fan... 1. 6DOIT 2. Scenes 3.
