08.28.10 | But they're post-rock. I don't know any post-metal that's as complex and dense as The Ocean (since most is minimalist and dense). Don't know anyone else who brings in an orchestra and twenty guests. |

08.28.10 | Giant Squid is terrific, even if their name isn't. Go for The Ichthyologist first, you'll be entertained for weeks trying to digest that album. |

08.28.10 | I love the post metal kings (Neurosis, Cult of Luna, Isis, The Ocean, Rosetta) and explored a lot of post metal/rock but find the quality and depth falls away quickly. Yet to hear near to, let alone better. It's a difficult genre to pull off, to manifest the edge, quality, interest, atmosphere and diversity. |
Ire
08.28.10 | what is The Ocean doing in the group of kings? |
qwe3
08.28.10 | "I love the post metal kings (Neurosis, Cult of Luna, Isis, The Ocean, Rosetta) "

kangaroopoo
08.28.10 | prior to Heliocentric. |
eternium
08.28.10 | Neurosis, Isis, and Cult of Luna are the kings. I don't care what anyone else says. The Ocean would be close if it wasn't for Heliocentric. |
qwe3
08.28.10 | the ocean sucks |
