Classics

just 10 really good albums
1 The Grateful Dead
Workingman's Dead

the vocals. oh, the vocals.
2The Doors
The Doors

tough pick between this and strange days, but there's just something about the tone of this album...
creepy in a fascinating way.
3Morbid Angel
Altars of Madness

their only really good album, and also one of metal's best. those who like covenant better don't
understand the insanity that is contained here, or just can't handle it. this is them at their most intense,
with outbreaks of other-dimensional energy spitting forth into your eardrums every time azagthoth or
brunelle rip into a solo.
4The Beatles
Rubber Soul

nothing really needs to be said. just a damn solid album in a damn solid streak of damn solid albums.
5Eminem
The Slim Shady EP

infinite was a great start, but this is where slim shady first came to life and possessed the man known as
marshall mathers. low down dirty has still yet to be topped by the man himself.
6Black Sabbath
Black Sabbath

recognized mostly for being one of the earliest traces of metal, sabbath's first also has some amazing NON-metal tracks.
7Big L
Lifestylez ov da Poor and Dangerous

one of the greatest lyricists of all time, and yet he barely gets any credit for it. gritty beats with some of rap's best lines over them, L was way
ahead of his time. some of his shit is also hilarious when you actually picture what he says. jay-z's first recorded appearance is on this album,
but this was before he was the big name that he is today and he actually had some rhyme skill.
8Soundgarden
Ultramega OK

while all of their albums are incredible, their first gives the best diion of them overall as it offers a little
bit of everything they have up their sleeves. funny songs, dark songs, wierd songs, blues? yup. the lennon
cover is just icing on the cake.
9Deicide
Deicide

this is just one of the most passionate, consistent albums out there. crazy vocals. the guitar solos are
rather mediocre but the riffs themselves more than compensate for that.
10Primus
Frizzle Fry

this is just absurd. so different from everything, so eerie and yet so tight. lot of really cool ideas on this one.
