Fantasy Football Draft

Had my fantasy football draft yesterday. Kinda weird considering I had to do it over a webcam because everyone's over a thousand miles away from me. Here are my picks and explantations of why I picked these guys.
1Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, Jacksonville

Usually I like to stray away from smaller backs knowing that they have a higher risk for injury, but MJD was just too good to pass up. He's a fantasy beast, scoring an average of 15.9 per game.
2Brandon Marshall, WR, Miami

Not exactly a fantasy player to build around, but with the predictions for this year and what I believe will be the coming out party for Chad Henne, Marshall could become the steal of this year's draft.
3Miles Austin, WR, Dallas

Showed great promise last year with an average score of 12.1, but I believe he will really break out this year with rookie Dez Bryant on the other side of the field.
4Phillip Rivers, QB, San Diego

I didn't want to pick a QB this early, but I had to considering my league started grabbing all of my QB picks early, and Phillip was the last on my list of 3. Averaged 16.1 points per game last year, so he's no slouch. I do feel, though, that the loss of Vincent Jackson early in the season could become a problem for my roster.
5Marques Colston, WR, New Orleans

At the time he was the best player available, so I scooped him up on hopes that he will improve on his sub- par 9.4 per game from last year. Has the potential to be a monster, but only time will tell.
6Thomas Jones, RB, Kansas City

Again it was a situtation of who's the best player available, and I grabbed Thomas Jones. If he can look anything like he did last year with the Jets, this could be a real bonus on my roster. That line in KC is terrible though, so I might put him on the trading block pretty early on in the season.
7Jermichael Finley, TE, Green Bay

With Aaron Rodgers as the Pack's QB, Finley can be a real problem for opposing defenses. His score of 5.6 was pretty average for tight ends last year, but the two I wanted most(Witten, Gates) were swiped off the bored before I had a chance, so I went with Plan C.
8Packers D/ST

Again, not my first choice(Eagles or Jets), but still a solid defense. I'm hoping they can improve on their turnover ratio, which will then improve on their 9.5 season average for last year.
9Stephen Gostkowski, K, New England

Has a pretty good leg and has been solid since Vinatieri left for the Colts, so this might be a pretty good pick up. People don't realize that kickers can win or lose a week for you, and a 9.4 average from last year shows that Gostkowski has the potential to do that.
10Santana Moss, WR, Washington
11Antonio Bryant, WR, Cincinnatti
12Cadillac Williams, RB, Tampa Bay
13Chad Henne, QB, Miami
14Texans D/ST
15Marshawn Lynch, RB, Buffalo
16Jon Carlson, TE, Seattle
