Battle Of The Genres- Part 14

BATTLE OF THE GENRES - PART FOURTEEN /// Gospel won the last round over Circle Takes The Square and Pg. 99. They'll be moving on to the next round... but anyway, I feel like I'm getting a bit repetitive in these lists, so I'll ask you a random question: should you need a separate driver's license to operate a Zamboni? I mean, it's sort of a car but not really... /// DESC RIPTION - Vote for a band that you would like to represent each genre. There are eighteen genres in total, which means eighteen preliminary rounds. Then the representatives from each genre will face off. Which genre/band will win? /// RULES - One vote per member per day (each round lasts 24 hours) - In the event of a tie, a faceoff will occur between the disputed bands - Let's get started
1EXPERIMENTAL
2Mr. Bungle

Highest-rated album: California (4.3 avg. rating) /// "Mr. Bungle are an experimental band, consisting of guitarist Trey Spruance, drummer Danny Heifetz, bassist Trevor Dunn, alto sax player Theo Lengel, tenor sax player Clinton McKinnon and vocalist Mike Patton. Creating eclectic, abstract music happens to be their specialty."
3Buckethead

Highest-rated album: Chicken Noodles II (4.8 avg. rating) /// "The enigma known as Buckethead has confused many a person. Even as an avid fanboy, I can honestly say that I understand why people are so off-put by him. It?s a freakishly tall man with long curly hair wearing an upturned KFC bucket on his head and a Michael Myers-esque mask. While he is known as a very talented multi-instrumentalist he?s just as prone to manic, high energy solos as he is to breaking out his nunchuks and robot dancing."
4Frank Zappa

Highest-rated album: Buffalo (4.8 avg. rating) /// "Frank Zappa is arguably the most genre-spanning innovative artist of the 20th century. In his 30 year career he's pushed the boundaries for avant-garde/art rock, jazz, doo wop, pop, R&B, among many others. As well as toying with these genres, he also ventured into the less contemporary, composing pieces with full orchestras and a synthesizing machine called a Synclavier. He was also known for his satirical humour, taking aim at everything from the hippie flower child culture, music censorship (which he helped battle against in the 80s), to media in general, and parodied countless others (most notably in his three part/LP rock opera Joe's Garage."
