Battle Of The Genres- Part 10

BATTLE OF THE GENRES - PART TEN /// In a very close round between all three bands, Converge ended up coming out with the victory over BTBAM and TDEP. This next round is for the genre representative of an often neglected genre on Sputnik, but it is a part of the website nonetheless. /// DESC RIPTION - Vote for a band that you would like to represent each genre. There are eighteen genres in total, which means eighteen preliminary rounds. Then the representatives from each genre will face off. Which genre/band will win? /// RULES - One vote per member per day (each round lasts 24 hours) - In the event of a tie, a faceoff will occur between the disputed bands - Let's get started
1HIP-HOP
2Nas

Highest-rated album: Illmatic (4.5 avg. rating) /// "Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones (born September 14, 1973), known simply as Nas, formerly Nasty Nas, is a prominent American rapper. The son of jazz musician Olu Dara, Nas is best known for his 1994 debut album Illmatic, considered by some to be one of the best hip-hop albums of all time."
3Wu-Tang Clan

Highest-rated album: Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) (4.5 avg. rating) /// "The Wu-Tang Clan is a hip collective of nine New York rappers, legendary for their 1993 debut Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). With 36 Chambers, and early Wu solo albums, they changed the face of rap, introducing surreal lyricism and RZA's production techniques ranged from raw to cinematic."
4Eminem

Highest-rated album: The Marshall Mathers LP (4.2 avg. rating) /// "The average rapper wouldn't be able to grace the pages of Rap Pages, VIBE, Rolling Stone, Spin, The Source, URB and Stress and go on a national tour months before their major-label debut album is released. Then again, Eminem isn't an average rapper. He's phenomenal. For Eminem, his potentially controversial and undoubtedly offensive songs will strike a chord with a multitude of hip-hop loyalists who believe they have little to lose and everything to gain."
