| Concert Slayed Vol 3
100 degrees and no ac but the people windmill headbanging put out a nice breeze. Now all there is to do is go through the motions until August 10th and then it's pudding time bitches! | 1 | | 3 Inches Of Blood Fire Up the Blades
Given that when looking around the venue all I saw was a sea of Hatebreed and Lamb of God shirts I assumed that 3 Inches of Blood wasn't going to get the greatest audience reaction. I was right. The band blazed through their set and sounded better than they do on album (and that's coming from a fan of this band). After the show I walked out happily with my Here Waits Thy Doom vinyl signed by the entire band. | 2 | | Lamb of God Ashes of the Wake
I've always heard good things about Lamb of God's live performance and everything I'd heard was correct. These guys gave it their all. The mosh pits were crazy, people were passing out, and blood was spilt and it was hard not to notice that Randy can get a crowd going like no other. Being a fan of Lamb of God this blew away all my expectations regarding their live show. Multiple encores were played because the crowd refused to stop chanting until the band came out and they played some of my favorites (Vigil, Black Label, Omerta, Ruin). Even if you don't care for LoG seeing them live is an experience you won't forget. | 3 | | Hatebreed Under the Knife
I'm not the biggest fan of Hatebreed. I was into their stuff when I was first checking out hardcore music but I haven't listened to them in ages. I wasn't expecting much from them but after taking about 30 minutes with their soundcheck they surprised me with a very fun, and intense set. First off I had some dude in a cowboy hat flailing all over the place next to me (which was entertaining enough) but the constant crowd chanting was pretty cool. It was obvious that the crowd was into it and the circle pit was going strong throughout. Frontman Jamie mentioned the passing of Type O's bassist and dedicated "Last Breath" to him mentioning that the last time they played at the Beaumont they shared the stage with them. | |
