Trundle
07.21.10 | haha yeah when I first saw it I thought he looked like a cancer patient, as he was so thin and the lack of visible hair. That was back in the days he used to deal crack, |
Counterfeit
07.21.10 | Yeah man. I can see why. But Reasonable Doubt, The Black Album and The Blueprint are all classics imo. And Vol. 2 is solid as well. Haven't heard the others other than BP3. And we all know bout dat one. haha. Oh wait, also The Dynasty is solid as well. |
Trundle
07.21.10 | @Counterfeit I guess I just don't like how he came into the spotlight, by riding the coat-tails of more skilled MC's, similar to P.Diddy, I guess I really should check out Reasonable doubt.
also check out this song, Jay's verse is sick

Psilocyanide
07.21.10 | Jay's good, but I could never get into him. Feelin' It is a great song though. His only song that I really loved besides 99 Problems. |
Counterfeit
07.21.10 | @ross, He can right a great rap man, he just like he said "dumbed down his raps to sell more and get a bigger audience, haha".
and care to explain riding the coat-tails? I know what it means, but like who? Assuming Biggie but j/w. And I fucking hate diddy, haha. |
Trundle
07.21.10 | aight i got one mo' classic for all yall niggaz to check out, featuring Jay-Z with some other legendary MC's yanomsayin?

Psilocyanide
07.21.10 | He got famous by appearing on a Big L song, perhaps that what he means. |
Counterfeit
07.21.10 | lmao, who is the 10 year old. sick rap, though. the other one too. |
MUNGOLOID
07.21.10 | odb killed it lol. |
Trundle
07.21.10 | well he kind of rode the success of Big L for a bit, appearing in Da Graveyard off L's Debut, as well as appearing in a freestyle with L. And finally him in Big L's posthumously released song Platinum plus. He was featured in many songs of what I consider more skilled MC's which later became popular, and which allowed him to release his debut. I may be reading into this too much, but I think i just have it out for him tbqh. |
Trundle
07.21.10 | Psilocyanide knows what i mean |
Psilocyanide
07.21.10 | I know what you mean, I wouldn't say he rode coattails to get to where he is. But he definitely got a fame boost from Big L. |
BallsToTheWall
07.21.10 | Walk To Remember soundtrack. |
Trundle
07.21.10 | yeah, i Dunno it's just when I hear Jay follow a Big L verse i just get a facepalm, and like i said i think i just have it out for him for some reason, especially since his material nowadays is an abortion. |

07.21.10 | yeah man i think you just got it out for him. : P
if you do like Reasonable Doubt get The Blueprint and The Black Album, they aren't really like it at all but they're much more "real". And if you do like em all (probably wont, but i dunno), get Vol. 2 and Dynasty. |
