07.18.10 | I need to see Maiden so badly. |
Yeahtoast
07.18.10 | Seeing them on the 30th, can't fucking wait. |
NeutralThunder12
07.18.10 | Iron Maiden WAS better live, but Dream Theater's set list was better than Maiden's. I mean shit, Hallowed be thy Name live was fucking awesome, but there were about 6 or more shitty songs, and nothing from Powerslave. But the show was still amazing. |

07.18.10 | must be pretty risky leaving out the trooper...? |
Bfhurricane
07.18.10 | Saw Dream Theater by themselves last week, didn't feel like shelling out 200 bucks to see them plus Iron Maiden for the 3rd time live. This setlist is ok, not nearly as good as the Somewhere Back In Time tour I saw them on. |
Thor
07.18.10 | I really have never understood why Maiden close with Running Free all the time. Why should you play anything else after Hallowed Be Thy Name? |
Nagrarok
07.18.10 | Because it's a great song to do some final interaction with the crowd before wrapping things up. |
NeutralThunder12
07.18.10 | yeah Running free was great live but a better closer would have been like Phantom of the Opera, or yeah, why play anything after Hallowed be Thy Name? |
eggsvonsatan
07.18.10 | wow, that's a really shitty maiden setlist |

07.18.10 | Yeahtoast: Can't wait to see them on 30th either, they are gonna tear the place down and then Eddie is gonna rip Dublin a new ass hole.
I actually dig the new setlist and I'm not pissed because there are no songs from Powerslave because on the last tour they play half of that album and they also played song's Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son etc. It's good to see modern Maiden classics being played from the last 10 years. |
HenchmanOfSanta
07.18.10 | The newer songs also gave Janick a chance to rip. When they played old stuff from when he wasn't in the band, he mostly flung his guitar around. |
HenchmanOfSanta
07.18.10 | Also, I think I learned from this experience that there's no such thing as a bad Maiden setlist, because everything sounds good live. |
Yeahtoast
07.18.10 | Agree with maidenpmcc and HenchmanOfSanta, this set list is fine by me, love the new shit especially the Brave New World material, that album is amazing. And Janick has more of an input obviously on the newer stuff which is great. Also as I've said on other lists, they played the older classics such as those off Powerslave on the last few tours, so it's not all that surprising they went this way. Why not like, it's been a great decade from them, much better than the 90s.
maidenpmcc: 12 days man! |

07.18.10 | With setlists like that, I should be getting quite a show when I see them. |
Yeahtoast
07.18.10 | MAIDEN! |
Parallels
07.18.10 | with a setlist like that, no wonder DT sucked.
home is good though
Maiden always kicks ass anyways |
shindip
07.18.10 | was this in Vancouver?? pretty sure they played this exact setlist there too |
HenchmanOfSanta
07.18.10 | Detroit. Most bands play the same setlist throughout a tour, with little to no variation. It would be hell on the roadies who run the light show (as well as on the band members) otherwise. |

ShadowRemains
07.19.10 | needs moar old stuff
- Aces High
- The Trooper
- 2 Minutes to Midnight
etc. |
Yeahtoast
07.19.10 | 2 Minutes To Midnight is the only song I'm disappointed I won't be hearing. Otherwise I love this set list. |
