Battle Of The Genres - Part 3

BATTLE OF THE GENRES - PART THREE /// Radiohead managed to win the last round despite Faith No More taking an early lead, so they and their odd material move on to the next round. /// DESC RIPTION - Vote for a band that you would like to represent each genre. There are eighteen genres in total, which means eighteen preliminary rounds. Then the representatives from each genre will face off. Which genre/band will win? /// RULES - One vote per member per day (each round lasts 24 hours) - In the event of a tie, a faceoff will occur between the disputed bands - Let's get started
1POST ROCK
2Godspeed You! Black Emperor

Highest-rated album: F#A#? (4.4 avg. rating) /// Often praised as one of the greatest Post-Rock bands, Godspeed You! Black Emperor formed in Montreal, 1994. The band began with three members, but usually has nine, and has contained as many as 15. The group's unique and volatile sound is a mix of classical, avant-garde, and progressive, with most of their songs broken up into symphonic movements.
3Sigur Ros

Highest-rated album: ( ) (4.3 avg. rating) /// Sigur R?s an Icelandic band that create some of the most unusual sounds heard in recent music. Coming from Iceland, the band formed in 1994. The band use some pretty standard instruments, yet create a remarkable sound.
4Mono

Highest-rated album: Hymn To The Immortal Wind (4.1 avg. rating) /// Mono is a Japanese post-rock band. Their instrumentals focus on textures of ethereal guitar melodies along with various string arrangements and pianos. Their music has a very elegant and sophisticated vibe, the guitar work is also quite difficult.
