Written by George Harrison, from the Magical Mystery Tour album. Trippy song, kind of repetitive but has a sweet vibe. |

Written by John Lennon, taken from the White Album. Underrated finger-picked song. |
| 3 | Bob Dylan
Masters of War
From the Freewheeling Bob Dylan album. Barely qualifies for this list - it's been covered by lots of bands eg the Roots/Pearl Jam. Simple folk song with just vocals and an acoustic guitar but one of the angriest songs I've ever heard. |

Tannhauser/Derive
New Noise is the most well known song but this to me just about sums up everything that's so good about that album. |

Lady Grinning Soul
Off the Aladdin Sane album, I read somewhere that this was supposed to sound similiar to a James Bond theme. Unlike anything else Bowie has done. |

The Last Hour
Off 'From A Basement on a Hill', this would sound more at home on Either/Or than his major label albums. Fairly straightforward, great song. |

Off 'Figure 8'. Piano driven song with some pretty interesting vocal melodies in the verse. |

From 'Morning View'. One of the most relaxing songs I've ever heard |

Off the 'Electric Ladyland' album. Clocks in at nearly 14 minutes, but if I'm in the mood for it, an excellent song. |

The World Is Yours
Off the 'Illmatic' album. A simple drum and piano loop but all the focus is on the vocals and it's pretty amazing. Strong contender for my favourite rap song. |

Antartica Inside Me
From 'The Tropic Rot'. I have alot of respect for this band for going above and beyond what I consider a pretty restricting genre. Could have just as easily chosen 'Without You and One Other I Am Nothing'. |

Pyramid Song
From 'Amnesiac'. This song makes that album for me. One of my favourites of all time. |

From 'Hail to the Thief'. Not my favourite Radiohead album but this song builds up and the finish is awesome. |

Breaking the Girl
From 'Blood Sugar Sex Magic'. When I was learning guitar, I admired Frusciante's playing and this is a different sound for them in that era. |

Gates of Eden
From 'Bringing it All Back Home'. Once again it's just Dylan and an acoustic guitar, and at nearly 6 minutes it's captivating. Great songwriter and lyricist. |

From 'As Day Follows Night'. Aussie singer-song writer with an amazing voice. After listening almost entirely to male vocalists while I was growing up I appreciate female singers alot at the moment. |

Instrumental off the Alchemy Index water EP. Doesn't showcase Kensrues lyrics but is a pretty good song in its own right and features some great production. |

Glass
Opener from 'Two Suns'. Similiar reason to #18. Great voice and excellent song. |

Ticklish
Off 'Acrobatic Tenement'. Relationship of Command is one of my favourite albums to this day but I chose this old gem. |
