Winsomniac
07.06.10 | get the chariot off of there [2] |
witchxrapist
07.06.10 | The Chariot rules, gtfo.
As I Lay Dying loooooool. |
Winsomniac
07.06.10 | Oh god... AILD.
Saw The Chariot live once, can honestly say the band is hysterical. I don't know if it was part of the act, but frankly I don't really care, it was a huge turn off to me. Daggers was an okay song, but the rest of it is too schizo for my liking.
List needs some Hundredth, Life In Your Way, [old]Burden of a Day and He Is Legend[I think they're christian right? Don't really pay too much attention to it.] :] |
witchxrapist
07.06.10 | Yeah, The Chariot ain't too good live lol. I just really like their demos and that album.
Forgot about Life In Your Way, but I don't really listen to them much. Hundreth IDK, Burden Of A Day and He Is Legend are meh imo. |
Winsomniac
07.06.10 | D: How do you "meh" He Is Legend AND Burden of a Day?
I Am Hollywood is like, one of my favorite CDs in the genre.
Also, have you heard the demo version of BoaD's Sly Foxes? its gewd :( |
Winsomniac
07.06.10 | Wait wtf, they aren't?!
Also, Maylene & The Sons of Disaster :D!!! |
witchxrapist
07.06.10 | Maylene rules, but not top 10 imo. :o
IDK, Burden Of A Day and He Is Legend just never clicked w/ me. :/ |
Winsomniac
07.06.10 | Eh, I would earnestly rec listening to these two. Especially with this list in mind.
Sly Foxes - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsNte3DfU-M
The Greatest Actor Alive - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFgK_UxtbPQ |
witchxrapist
07.06.10 | idk mang, my friends used to listen to he is legend on car rides to school all the time in highschool, couldn't stand them
and this burden of a day stuff still sounds meh to me idk |
Winsomniac
07.06.10 | Meh, well it was worth a try. They remind me a lot of They're Only Chasing Safety Underoath, which may be why I like it so much. Probably still my favorite UO album to date, though not by much. |
witchxrapist
07.06.10 | Yeah, it sounded like a more meh TOCS idk idk. I loooooove TOCS though. c: |
Winsomniac
07.06.10 | I can't listen to Underoath or Chiodos' first album anymore because of the whole ex thing that guy in the other thread was talking about. it's pretty lame. Most of what I actually have on my iPod now is pretty bro, lulz. |
witchxrapist
07.06.10 | idk i listened to underoath and as cities burn a ton after a few break ups, but i still luh dem idk |
Winsomniac
07.06.10 | @fromtheinside: Fuck off, bro. All's Well That End's Well was good. |
witchxrapist
07.06.10 | I love All's Well That Ends Well |

07.06.10 | why would yew do dat? |
witchxrapist
07.06.10 | /disagrees |
Winsomniac
07.06.10 | Aw shit. My opinions have been discredited based on someone's perception of my personality... Oh wait that's an entirely bullshit way to argue a point.
Album was good; had an interesting mix of whatever core existed at the time. If you don't like it, fine. Don't be so much of a prick to think you're better than someone else based on taste in music though. Although I suppose that fleeting and overall bullshit sense of superiority you want from making comments like that is what gets you by, huh?
But nah, I suppose you're right. I'm just a bro. Therefore my opinions are invalid. |
Winsomniac
07.06.10 | ...lawl. umad? |
HangEmHigh
07.06.10 | He Is Legend is better than this whole list. |
Winsomniac
07.06.10 | Disagree; As Cities Burn, yo. |
cvlts
07.06.10 | lol christcore |

Tulannical
07.06.10 | pretty decent list.

07.06.10 | YouAreMySilence: the guitarwork on Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest is phenomenal. :o

quicksilver: Oceana = ewwww, Oh, Sleeper rules tho.
Tulannical: orly? |
Winsomniac
07.06.10 | Let's face it: All three As Cities Burn CDs are awesome in their own right.
witch, might as well put them all on here >:D |
witchxrapist
07.06.10 | So true. As Cities Burn was the besssst.
I saw them play a show in a church in front of like 30 kids once, best show I've ever been to. |
Tulannical
07.06.10 | yep, he doesn't play on that specific album but he's in the band
he was good friends w/ my bro in middle school lol |
witchxrapist
07.06.10 | Cool. It's always nice to see ppl you know go places. |
quicksilver050
07.06.10 | Cool cool. Yeah I agree with you on both bands. Is Thrice considered a Christian band? |
Emim
07.06.10 | Nice putting For Today on here.
I CALL

FIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEE! |
ART36
07.06.10 | I'm usually picky with genres of music, but Christcore? Really? I don't think subject matter should directly characterize the sound or nature of music. Are there similarities, sure, but really? I digress... |
witchxrapist
07.06.10 | Christcore isn't a genre, it's just a joke term that people use to refer to Christian hardcore, metalcore, and post hardcore. |
witchxrapist
07.06.10 | Sorry to remove For Today, they're great live, but I just remembered that Vomitorial Corpulence is Christian. |
Sheeple9000
07.06.10 | “Jonah, where's that boat going?!” |
witchxrapist
07.07.10 | i dont get reference, could sum1 clue me in? :c |
YouAreMySilence
07.07.10 | Oh Sleeper rules |
Masochist
07.07.10 | Wow...Eso-Charis. Been a while since I've seen them on a list. It's pretty good, but #1 is my least-favorite Underoath album out of the ones I've heard.
And yeah, He Is Legend isn't a Christian band, despite what people think. They've said this very, very plainly (and not in that, "We just don't want to be pigeonholed" way, either). |
Emim
07.07.10 | You know, Evanescence was VERY vehement about not being a Christian band or having Christian lyrics, but just listen to Fallen and tell me it isn't. I'm not saying that He Is Legend fit that category, because they're lyrics are usually very vague. |
Comatorium.
07.08.10 | U MADE ME FEEL ALIVE
WEN DEATH
WUZ ON MUH MIND |
MrSnuffles
07.08.10 | Very glad that tDWP isn't on this list. |
