07.02.10 | Yeah I am getting a little tired of this Lebron James ordeal. I just hope he picks a team already so everyone can get over it lol. Well I am Clippers fan I just hope we at least make the playoffs but never really happens lol! |
BallsToTheWall
07.02.10 | Would like to see him go to Chicago. Fuck New York, New Jersey and any other shitty team that's trying to reverse trends by max paying top players for more than they're worth. |
Inveigh
07.02.10 | LBJ + Boozer/Bosh in Chicago
Boozer/Bosh + Ray Allen in Miami
Stoudamire in New Yawk
David Lee in New Jersey
Joe Johnson, Dirk Nowitzki, Paul Pierce and Rudy Gay stay put.
There you have it. |
Inveigh
07.02.10 | and obviously Wade in Miami too |

07.02.10 | I don't think he will go to Chicago cause then he will be in Michael Jordan's shadow. I know he won't go to the Clippers cause LA's is Kobe Bryant's town unfortunaly lol! I could actually see him with Heat maybe though. |

07.02.10 | I just want to see New York Knicks suffer for the end of time. |
Inveigh
07.02.10 | I don't buy the "Jordan's shadow" argument. I mean, if his goal with free agency was "to go to a team and be the best player in franchise history" then yeah, Chicago's not the place to do that.
But his goal is to be the best player in NBA history, so he's going to be compared to MJ constantly no matter what. Think about it, has playing in L.A. kept Kobe from being constantly compared to MJ? Nope. I doubt the amount of comparisons goes up or down if he moves to Chicago.
Did playing in Kareem's shadow stop Shaq from signing with L.A. in '96? I don't think Bill Russell or Larry Bird's shadows disuaded KG from accepting the trade to Boston. Granted, none of those guys were as big as MJ, but they were close.
If big bad LBJ is scared of MJ's shadow, then he's not gonna win any rings anyways. |

07.02.10 | and fuck the Knicks. fuck the Celtics harder. |

07.02.10 | yeah I was surprised to hear that was going down, I didn't think he and Mike D got along too well.
Once the dust clears (which might be awhile), it will be interesting to see where the smaller FAs end up. Travis Outlaw, Shaq, Al Harrington, JJ Reddick, Kyle Korver etc. Lots of teams will be scrambling to fill their roster slots.
Oh, and it looks like Mike Miller will be signing with the Lakers. They need a PG, but I still like that move a lot. When you have inside guys like Gasol and Bynum and a leading wing like Kobe, surrouding them with white guys that can stroke the 3 always seems to be a formula for success. |

07.02.10 | if we don't resign redick i am going to be upset :( |
BallsToTheWall
07.02.10 | JJ Reddick, how I hate that guy, not his playing just him. |
Inveigh
07.02.10 | I think Orlando resigns Reddick, they tend to always keep their guys, if only to trade them later. Even if they resign him though, I think they deal at least one or two of Reddick, Pietrus, Gortat and Bass.
Rumored deal is that if Chicago signs LBJ, we send Deng to Orlando for Pietrus and Gortat. Works for both teams, Orlando gets a SF better than any SF on their roster and Chicago adds depth because LBJ would be taking Deng's starting spot anyways and we'll need to fill roster spots.
To be honest though, I like Reddick a lot and would love to have him here. He's improved a shit load since coming in the league, especially on defense. |
klap
07.02.10 | yeah redick was probably my favorite player to watch on the team this year. that deng deal is interesting, although it would break my heart to see pietrus go, love that dude |

07.02.10 | since I'm a devoted Orlando fan, I care most that they re-sign Reddick and also keep Gortat and Pietrus who're both great, solid guys. Orlando could also do with some more muscle down there - they should add like a good, muscular 7ft center who could mash well with Howard.
As for Lebron, my gut tells me he might go to Chicago, but could also stay in Cleveland. |
