Some Of My Favourite Songs. (Gay Metalcore Alert)
List. |
| 1 | Converge Jane Doe
Ah, the final track of the album of the decade. I have listened to their stuff from axe the fall off my buddys ipod. I just knew the band wasn't a favourite but I enjoyed some of their work. The intro has a doomish kind of sound to it. It has that dirty thrash sound(As planwreck mentioned) through out the song. Its also great when Jacob sings "I want out" really powerful. Near the end, theres guitars going "DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN" cymbals being bashed in the same tempo which was extremly epic. It slowly fades. Masterpiece. |

| 2 | Alexisonfire No Transitory
This was the shit back in the days. George(Vocals) is from my hometown so I respect for these guys. This song has some impressive guitar work, great singing verses, sided with Georges screaming. Some catchy stuff. I still listen to this song alot. |

| 3 | August Burns Red Crusades
This is one brutal song. Plenty of breakdowns/Typical ABR instrumental at its best(A couple of great breakdowns) After a buncha fast riffage/double bassing/growling it cools down with some BTBAM like guitars. After that, jakes screams some powerful lyrics, and ends with: "This is my time to be with my lord." Epicness at its best ;D |

| 4 | Underoath Writing On The Walls
Great song. Most fans know how it starts. Simple singing and after that it starts. Aaron and spencer switch lines every now and then(Screaming, Singing) It has a generic sound but a rather unique formula..Not repetitive at all. Near the middle is the "We walk alone" part which is similar to a breakdown. Spencers calming voice comes in after that screaming/singing verse, and then theres the breakdown which is my favourite part. |

| 5 | Misery Signals Labyrinthian
The tempo stays the same for almost the whole song. After that theres one simple but awsome breakdown which pretty much ends the song. I really love this though. Simplicty at its best. |

| 6 | Norma Jean Disconnecktie: The Faithful Vampire
It has some rough, but soothing guitar lines, followed Corys growls. Two opposites but it sounds fantastic IMO. Its eventually followed up by Cory singing "So I began with the end in mind" and which makes me really want to sing along. It follows a slow paste kind of like Underoaths "To Whom It May Concern minus all of that keyboard stuff. Im not saying they sound similar, its just that they follow the same formula. Truly an epic song. Should have been the last track IMO due to large amount of epicness. Cory Brandons can also write some good shit. |
