| PROG! - The Bullmoose [mix]
A [mix] of progressive songs spanning three 80-minute discs.
EPIC PROG! So called the Bullmoose [mix] as The Bullmoose Party was what Theodore Roosevelt had named the Progressive Party. TR was shot while running for a third term with the Progressive Party (instead of the Republicans, who he had previously won office with). However, when he was shot, a bok over his heart saved his life, and he got right back up and delivered a speech on Progressivism. When asked how he felt by a reporter, TR said, "I feel healthier than a bullmoose!" Hence, the name of the Progressive Party, and this mix. | 1 | Pink Floyd Echoes | 2 | Kyuss Whitewater | 3 | Rush Xanadu | 4 | Karnivool Change | 5 | Fugazi Strangelight | 6 | Anathema A Dying Wish | 7 | CAN Oh Yeah | 8 | Mogwai Tracy (Kid Loco mix) | 9 | Isis Dulcinea | 10 | Tool Pushit | 11 | Emerson, Lake, and Palmer The Endless Enigma | 12 | Pelican March Into the Sea | 13 | King Crimson I Talk to the Wind | 14 | Camel Lunar Sea | 15 | Riverside Egoist Hedonist | 16 | Tangerine Dream Phaedra | 17 | Jethro Tull Thick as a Brick (6-min. vers.) | 18 | Neurosis Stones from the Sky | 19 | Mastodon Capillarian Crest | 20 | Porcupine Tree Glass Arm Shattering | 21 | Yes Siberian Khatru | 22 | Between the Buried and Me Selkies: The Endless Obsession | 23 | Cynic Cosmos | 24 | The Mars Volta Viscera Eyes | 25 | Messhuggah Bleed | 26 | The Devin Townsend Project Ki | 27 | Genesis Colony of Slippermen | |

06.26.10 | Good list. If you want, you could check out Periphery. They're similar to BTBAM and Messhuggah but not quite as good (still not half bad though). | Parallels
06.26.10 | ugh periphery.
list is great though | vanderb0b
06.26.10 | Yeah, those are pretty obscure. Thought you might like this band, Iron Thrones. They're like a mix of Opeth and Dream Theater, with a vocalist that sounds like the guy from Between The Buried And Me. Their first album is available for free (and legal) download here:
