Inveigh 06.22.10	I can imagine. I almost exclusively watch television on DVD at this point or OnDemand because that way I can actually watch a full episode -- generally after my fiancee and cat are asleep.

Inveigh 06.22.10	I agree with you about cop dramas for the most part, but The Wire is just ridiculous. Harvard has an entire class dedicated to the study of that show. I mainly just watch stuff on DVD, when it comes to actual television I stick with Forensic Files, Seinfeld re-runs and sports.

BigHans 06.22.10	Satelitte is right, the Office is starting to jump the shark. Its pretty much inevitable once a show reaches a 5th season however.

EVedder27 06.22.10	having Jim and Pam separated in the first few seasons accounted for most of the show's tension. I think the show has been missing that since.
Satellite 06.22.10	The Simpsons was the best thing on TV for like 10 seasons (it's absolutely unbearable now), and IMO Lost only got stronger as the series progressed. But other than that, most shows start to slip at around season 5.

Hank Moody in Californication would do the same thing. The bull-skull imagery and tumbleweed vibe of Given to the Rising doesn't remind you of Deadwood? Labor Days is a concept album about Aesop trying to balance the 9-5 office life that pays his bills with artistic ambitions that make him happy -- how does that not fit with the Office? I mean, 1 and 8 are the only real stretches here if you ask me... oh, and no offense taken lol
