| 3eb Ranked
So hard to do, so the order isn't exactly right, but roughly correct. | 1 | Third Eye Blind Motorcyle Drive By
Duh. | 2 | Semi-Charmed Life
Might get some heat for this, but the point is this album got zero airplay in Holland (and Europe generally I believe), so I never had the chance to grow very tired of this. Insanely catchy but also meaningful, and therefore so high up. | 3 | Narcolepsy
Rocks so hard, especially towards the end. | 4 | God of Wine
Perfect closer. | 5 | The Background | 6 | Losing a Whole Year
A perfect opener if there ever was one. | 7 | How's It Going to Be | 8 | Jumper
Hmmyeah, so some of you will probably put this lower. Same reason as 2 I have it here probably. | 9 | Thanks a Lot | 10 | I Want You | 11 | Good for You | 12 | Burning Man | 13 | London | 14 | Graduate
The whole fuss about graduation is very much American, hence I don't identify with this as much as the other songs. No song truly deserves to be last though. | |

06.11.10 | I have to agree with nags ranking, because it's almost perfect to me | Apollo
06.11.10 | crystal meth!
I find it funny that Jumper is all about ice and was such a huge mainstream hit. | BigHans
06.11.10 | I have to agree with nags ranking, because it's almost perfect to me
^ Pit, your opinin doesn't matter until you 5 this. | BigHans
06.11.10 | I find it funny that Jumper is all about ice and was such a huge mainstream hit.
^ You mean Semi Charmed Life. Fixed. | NeutralThunder12
06.11.10 | hate this band | Apollo
06.11.10 | ah yes.
I never really listened to this band aside from the singles I heard on the radio years ago. Where would be a good place to start to check them out? | Gmork89
06.11.10 | I would have How's it Going to be higher than the other singles, but other than that it's pretty much dead on. | BigHans
06.11.10 | I never really listened to this band aside from the singles I heard on the radio years ago. Where would be a good place to start to check them out?
^ Listen to the entire self-titled, and I say entire because the last three songs are epic, then go to their follow up, Blue. After that you can pretty much skip. | Inveigh
06.11.10 | Blinded, Crystal Baller, I Forget Myself, My Hit and Run, Sharp Knife and Bonfire are all pretty great songs off their last two albums. But yeah, they've got nothing on Blue or s/t. | Gmork89
06.11.10 | I haven't listened to Blue yet. | BigHans
06.11.10 | Blue is worth a listen. It doesnt come within a galaxy of this but its a solid 3.5/4 range rock album.
Start by listening to the songs Wounded and Anything, if those dont grab you you wont like the album. But listen to Wounded for sure, right now. | Gmork89
06.11.10 | Ok, I'm on it, thanks. | Inveigh
06.11.10 | yea first two tracks on Blue are the best | BigHans
06.11.10 | Its kind of an odd choice, but I always liked Camoflauge too. | Inveigh
06.11.10 | I love Camoflauge. And 1,000 Julys, Farther and even the singles (10 Days Late, Deep Inside of You, ugh, I'll Never Let You Go is still catchy damnit) | Apollo
06.11.10 | will do, thanks | BigHans
06.11.10 | And Inveigh is right about Blinded, Crystal Baller, Sharp Knife, and Bonfire. | PuddlesPuddles
06.11.10 | (Double Takes)
Graduate last?!?!?!
But I can't even imagine raking each one of these jewels, so understandable.
Can I ask you something?
Thank you. | Nagrarok
06.11.10 | I have Blue at a 3. There's such a gap between that and this. | Jethro42
06.11.10 | That band reminds me of The Crowded House, or REO Speedwagon sometimes. In a good way though. | Masochist
06.11.10 | "Graduate" isn't actually about high school graduation, its about graduating from 'nobody' to 'somebody'. It's saying, "Can I grow up from being just a street punk? Can I become better than what I am now?" It's also probably my favorite song on the album. :-P
My ranking of this album is SO different from everyone else's, probably because I didn't hear the entire album properly until I was in college, so I took a much different approach to it. "Motorcycle Drive-By" is definitely not #1, three of your bottom four would be in my top 6 or 7, and your #14, as I said earlier, is my favorite song. So it looks something like this:
"Graduate"
"Losing a Whole Year"
"Good For You"
"Narcolepsy"
"Motorcycle Drive-By"
"London"
"God of Wine"
"Semi-Charmed Life"
"Jumper"
"The Background
"Burning Man"
"How's It Going To Be"
"I Want You"
"Thanks A Lot"
Feel free to scoff, but yeah...that's how I see it ;-) | BigHans
06.11.10 | Mascochist, I wont scoff as long as you have the album 5'd. | Nagrarok
06.11.10 | Jumper is very cool but in no way the best. | BigHans
06.11.10 | I could see Jumper being a very powerful song if you can personally relate to it. Fortunately for me, I cant, but I'm sure alot of people can, which probably explains why it was such a massive hit. |
