New Cd Acquisitions
Went a little crazy on Amazon. Luckily most of these were dirt cheap. Any recs? |
| 1 | | Skrew Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame
Best industrial metal album I've heard in a long time! Danny Lohner's start. |
| 2 | | Chemlab Burnout at the Hydrogen Bar
Not at all what I expected... Pretty good though. |
| 3 | | Frontline Assembly Millenium
Pretty excited to hear this (haven't played it yet). |
| 4 | | David Bowie Reality
Damn good album. Used to own it, got it stolen, now I have it again! |
| 5 | | Karnivool Sound Awake
Best prog album I've heard in a bit. |
| 6 | | Infectious Grooves Groove Family Cyco
Long live the funk |
| 7 | | Sonic Youth Bad Moon Rising
Finally have all the Sonic Youth albums! That took me a while! Expect a SY ranking list from me soon. |
| 8 | | Sonic Youth Sonic Youth
It's astounding how good SY was even on their debut. Such an eerie little record, so lovely. |
| 9 | | Flotsam and Jetsam No Place for Disgrace
Pretty derned good, though it's no Doomsday |
| 10 | | My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult Confessions of a Knife
Can't believe I just discovered their group, or that their legacy is not intact as one of the founding fathers of industrial. Check this out. |
| 11 | | My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult 13 Above the Night
Again, if you like industrial, you need to check them out! |
| 12 | | Infectious Grooves Sarsippius' Ark
Not as good as Groove Family Cyco, but still solid. The covers are cool (LZ's Immigrant Song and Bowie's Fame) but not as good as the rest of the album, and though I love the artwork and sSarsippius soundbites, the soundbites distract from the flow of the album. |
| 13 | | Miles Davis On the Corner
I used to be a huge Miles fan. Been a couple years since I bought a record by him. On the Corner is REALLY good. It's his funk album, but it's similar to Bitches Brew. I highly rec it, and it looks like I will be entering my second Miles phase! |
