| The Essential Pink Floyd
Here is my top 5 Pink Floyd albums ranked accordingly... | 5 | | Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here
This is where many people disagree with me. Despite being a great album, the album gets boring in parts
for me. | 4 | | Pink Floyd The Wall
Much like Dark Side, if you haven't heard this album you don't belong on this site. The music has
completely shifted to the hands of Roger Waters. Completely different then their previous albums. Still, the
album blows me away. Watch the movie too (with added inspiration, if you know what i mean...) | 3 | | Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon
I'm sure you have been bothered by someone to listen to this album. Well, do it, you won't regret it. What
some people relate to 'abbey road' or 'let it bleed' as the essential album to hear, well 'dark side of the
moon' is my favorite. Deep concept, lyrics are the best on any PF album. Piano is impressive too. | 2 | | Pink Floyd Meddle
Pink Floyd has always inspired me through the concepts, but Meddle seems to lack a clear concept.
Nevertheless, the lyrics and music are spectacular, and Gilmour does a lot of slide guitar. After a heart
palpitating 'one of these days' the album slows down and relaxes you. Then it ends with 'echoes' the best
pink floyd song of all time. | 1 | | Pink Floyd Animals
The culmination of Pink Floyd 70's evolution by David Gilmour and the madness of Roger Water's. And
what a concept! Animal Farm! The lyrics are truly amazing, but the long ambient breaks in 'sheep' and
'dogs' are what really send me into another world on this album. Certainly, the best album Pink Floyd has
ever made, and maybe one of the best albums of all time. | |

06.02.10 | yeah, nice list, but lacks originality... its basically the 5 most popular Floyd albums... And I agree that 4 could be replaced with Piper.... or Saucer or Atom or Umma | Counterfeit
06.02.10 | wow. missing too much. fail list. | ubermensch518
06.02.10 | ill second Another brick's comment | Motiv3

06.02.10 | lol its just his personal favorites | onereallysillygoose
06.02.10 | Yea, I kept the descriptions relatively short. Also, I'm not a Syd fan, but I enjoy some of their older stuff. Still, 70's Floyd is where they really developed a coherent good sound (opposed to being too acid 60's rock/uninspired 80's/roger waters delusions of graduer. | Motiv3
06.02.10 | piper is better than the wall and echoes though. | Disconnected
06.02.10 | Haven't heard 1 or 5, but 2, 3, and 4 are definitely in the right order. | qwe3
