It may be the classic, and Garden Grove may be the shit, but too much radio play of too many songs have for now diminished this album's enjoyability on repeated listens. Perhaps that radio play helps to make it classic (come on, What I Got? I know, how is that NOT classic?), but 40 Oz will always have my money, and Robbin' the Hood I just enjoy more... | | 2 |  | Sublime

06.01.10 | True, Hood doesn't have the flow of an album. But isn't it awesome in spite of it? Every time I find myself enjoying the self-titled, it launches into a radio single... buh. Each song is just as enjoyable on Hood, however, perhaps not as developed or poished as any on the self-titled. As for 40, well, I actually do as far as albums go think it's better than the self-titled. | ndspitt914

06.02.10 | i'd def go 1) sublime, 2) 40 oz, and 3) robbin the hood. all of them are obviously the shit, but i feel like they musicianship and especially guitar work was just by far and away the best on their s/t. plus, their were legit zero sub-4star songs. as for 40 oz, it's def a classic and probably had even better basslines than their s/t (badfish, chica me tipo, date rape, and ebin namely), but imo there were far too many covers (6 on 1 album???). their s/t only had 3 covers (plus what i got is essentially "lady madonna" meets "lovin'" by half pint). also, robbin' the hood was a damn good album, but def didn't have nearly the flow of their other albums, being that out of 22 tracks, only 8 were non-instrumentals that actually featured the entire band. either way sublime's the shit, but if i were ranking their albums, it's have to be s/t, then 40 oz, then robbin the hood. | JesusV4
