BigHans 05.27.10	Do I know if the entire genre sucks? No. The only ones on here I've heard are 1 and 8, and both are amongst the most insipid, wretched pieces of music I have ever been subjected to. If I actually heard something worth a damn, I would say its good, which of course is only my opinion. And btw, I have multiple genres.

Athom 05.27.10	I like CTTS, but there are a lot of better screamo/emo bands out there, be they american like Pg. 99 and Off Minor, or 'other' like Envy and Sed Non Satiata.

Their vocals suck, their riffs are monotonous, they have no diversity, their lyrics are annoying, they over-hyped because of the rebellious edge to their music, they suck even worse now, they are all horrible musicians. Thats why they suck.
NeutralThunder12 05.27.10	not in my opinion. When looking at Off Minor's lyrics, which Ive been intrigued by, they may be the best, but most of the time they bore me too tears. I like CTTS the most because a. The album flows phenomenally, with recurring themes and such, b. I love their aggressive and 'free-flowing' song structures, c. I love the dual vocals, d. The cd is very well produced, which is sort of rare for most of skramz. I also enjoy the more 'post-rock-ish' screamo like Envy, and City of Caterpillar.

BigHans 05.27.10	Envy - A Road Of Winds The Water Builds ^ This song is infinitely better than anything CTTS have come up with. I love the music here, the atmospheric, almost post rock ambience behind it. The vocals almost sound metal-like to me instead of the sound of some limp wristed hippie outcast screaming at the top of his lungs because he probably got the shit kicked out of him in school.

But I will say this, you are wrong, Metallica are a phenomenally important band to a genre they helped create, they are fantastic song-writers and had a way of piecing riffs together like no other band. Back in the old days, they changed the metal world. While recently they have sucked many a ballsack, their first 4 albums were divine pieces of music, where lyricism and total riffage stand out beyond any other band, no matter how fast or technical the band is. So please. dont diss my favorite band over my thread, go jack off to whatever it is that turns you on, whether it be your mother or your 2nd cousin.
