12.07.06 | Flea has nothing on victor wooten - what a load of crap, I ask you what will victor wooten be remebered for? my guess is a few fast licks that the wannabes can practice in their bedrooms for months.
Meanwhile Flea will be remebered for writing great songs(with great basslines) and being in one of the greatest bands of his era.
No doubt in my mind who will be remebered!

Its quite sad, and just because Flea will be remembered for playing mainstream doesnt mean Victor Wooten wont get as much appreciation. Theres nothing wrong with flying under the radar. |

12.07.06 | Some people prefer to it. The radio is designed to sell, you honestly think to hear the top bass player in the country/world, just turn on Z100? or some other mainstream radio station. Z100 is ours here in NYC. pfff, theres alot of better bassists, im finding the RHCP to be very overrated, although theyve been churning out consistent music for over 20 years now, cant beat that. Theyre good but not amazing. How many other bassists influenced Flea that youll never know of just because he went mainstream? |
