10 Most Influential Albums (for Me)

Albums that influenced me to play drums and play in a band. I tried to make it as non-generic as possible. Very personal list. Not ranked.
1Red Hot Chili Peppers
Blood Sugar Sex Magik

Very funky, groovy album. John is the best he's ever been on this release
(his work on "If You Have To Ask" is awesome).
2Kyuss
Blues for the Red Sun

My little sister is trying to destroy this album because I play it so loud.
"Thong Song" has excellent vocals.
3Beck
Odelay!

So creative, Beck is so innovative, he really can do anything.
4The Smashing Pumpkins
Siamese Dream

Mayonnaise remains one of my favorite songs
5Tool
Aenima

Very unique, Maynard (singer) and Carey (drummer) are amazing
6Weezer
Pinkerton

Frowned upon then, loved now. Great break-up album.
7Aerosmith
Toys In The Attic

"No More No More". Enough said
8Queens of the Stone Age
Rated R

Very diverse yet flows great. Better than Deaf imo.
9Nirvana
Nevermind

An obvious choice, I was in love with this album when I was a kid. Dave
Grohl (drummer) is my favorite musician.
10Foo Fighters
The Colour and the Shape

Another Dave Grohl record. Grew up with this one also. Every track is catchy
with almost no weak points.
