| Fucking Heavy
Some gnarly albums that are really heavy. | 1 | | Isis Panopticon
Oh sweet Jesus this album is perfect, the best Isis album in my opinion. All
of the songs are really long (the shortest being "Wills Dissolve" clocking in
at 6:47) | 2 | | Church of Misery Second Coming
This album is impossible to find but worth it if you can track it down.
Rifftastic Sabbath-esque metal. Bands like CoM are a dime a dozen but
these Japanese rockers are the best stoner rock band since Sleep | 3 | | Buckethead Cuckoo Clocks of Hell
I've had this album sitting in my iTunes library for about two years but
never really gave it a listen... OH JESUS this is the musical equivalent of a
jackhammer to the Frontal Lobe (in a good way) Don't go into this
experience expecting "music" because this is, after all Buckethead. | 4 | | Electric Wizard Dopethrone
More Sabbath Metal (Which is what I will refer to Sleep clone bands as). A
pretty great album but the vocals can get irritating. | 5 | | The Sword Age of Winters
This album is fucking AWESOME. Every song makes you want to bang your
head and ride a horse into a viking battle. | |
FadeToBlack
04.18.10 | apart from 4 none of these are heavy | MaskAtTheMasquerade
04.18.10 | Age of Winters defines masculinity and raw power. | ThyCrossAwaits
04.18.10 | 1 and 4 are heavy, 2 and 3 are not. And if that's the feeling you get from 5, then you are missing out on a metric fuckton of shit.
Amon Amarth
Equilibrium
Summoning
Tyr
Turisas
Eluveitie
Bathory
Ask BallsToTheWall. The site's resident viking. | Slipping Away
04.18.10 | Listening to Godflesh right now, thats pretty heavy and somewhat similar to Isis, albeit with an industrial edge. | Lambda
04.18.10 | 1 and 3 are both awesome | OllieS
04.18.10 | 1 can be really heavy at points. | SrightryEpic
04.18.10 | Portal |
