My Favorite Covers

Some of what I feel are the best covers ever done.
1Death
Painkiller

Just listen to that scream at the beginning. Do I need another reason?
2Anacrusis
I Love The World

Takes the already fantastic original, speeds it up, and makes it infinitely more aggressive.
3Johnny Cash
Hurt
4Elliott Smith
Because
5Coroner
I Want You/She's So Heavy

So, a thrash band covers the Beatles. Surprisingly, it doesn't suck.
6Jimi Hendrix
All Along the Watchtower

Everything that can be possibly said about this has already been said.
7Led Zeppelin
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You

One of the best Zeppelin songs ever recorded, and that says a lot.
8Megadeth
Paranoid

Takes one of the best Sabbath Songs and makes it thrashier.
9Opeth
Circle of the Tyrants

I've always loved the original, but I'm not a fan of the vocals. Mikael's monstrous growls are more than welcome.
10System of a Down
Snowblind

One of the most original covers I've ever heard. Takes the song and completely reinvents it and makes it more frantic.
