Bands/artists That I've Seen Live

Starting in late 2008, my appreciation for music grew, and at around that time, I started going to concerts. Here's some of the best that I've been to, in absolutely no order.
1Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull

I saw Anderson on his "Best of Acoustic Jethro Tull" tour. While the quality of Tull studio albums has been declining over the years, he is amazing live. His voice is almost as good as on the early albums and his flute playing is as strong as ever. On top of the wonderful performance, he was very energetic, and by the end of Bouree was jumping around the stage on one leg. Definitely recommended.
2Testament

I saw Testament supporting Megadeth on their most recent tour. The show was very much better than expected, not being a huge Testament fan. They played The Legacy in its entirety and then had some essential songs from other albums, most notably Into the Pit. This show got me into the band. Recommended.
3Exodus

Supported Megadeth and Testament. Honestly, I am not a big fan of Exodus, especially with their new singer. It seemed that they were constantly trying to get a circle mosh, but were very rarely successful. The guitar solos were enjoyable, but the rest was somewhat bland. Not recommended to anyone but fans of the band.
4Itzak Perlman

Classical violinist and conductor playing with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Played a Bach concert and then conducted Tchaikovsky's serenade and Bethoveen's fifth symphony. Outstanding performance, my only complaint being that Perlman conducted much more than he played, and I would have preferred it the other way around. Recommended.
5Muse

I saw Muse on the Resistance tour, and they were much better than I expected (and I expected quite a lot). All of the albums were played in equal measure and the performance was near perfect, if not incredibly energetic. The lighting was phenomenal. Recommended.
6Megadeth

I saw them play a few weeks ago, and I'm still blown away by the show. The performance was perfect. Everybody was singing along and headbanging from beginning to end, and I found myself falling in love with the songs that I did not care for very much before the concert, such as Skin of My Teeth. Honestly, if you get the opportunity to ever see them play live, do not pass it up. I can't express how much I recommend going to a 'deth concert.
