| Saturday Night Wrist Ranked
Album is growing on me, love the whole atmosphere around it. | 12 | Deftones Pink Cellphone
It's not as bad as people make it out to be, it's just really...weird. | 11 | Rapture
A solid, heavy song that just doesn't really stand out to me. Good nonetheless. | 10 | Riviere
A bit weak as a closer but the bass is interesting. Not as powerful as I would have hoped. | 9 | Mein
Vocals are a bit uninspired on this one but the riffing is ridiculously catchy and the drumming is well-done. | 8 | Xerces
Gorgeous intro and chorus. Reminds me of Make Yourself-era Incubus kinda, which is a good thing. | 7 | Hole in the Earth
Song is a bit repetitive but pretty entrancing none the less. The heavy riffs contrast with the uplifting
verses and chorus very well. | 6 | Combat
I feel bad for having this as low as 6th. I really enjoy the ambient intro segueing to Abe's drum beat as
well as the simple alt-rock riff that follows. Song gets heavy after that. Very catchy but a bit nu-metally. | 5 | KimDracula
Dumb song title but Chino gives one of my personal favorite vocal performances of his on this track. Some
very euphoric highs in this uplifting, yet somehow still dark song. | 4 | Rats! Rats! Rats!
Fucking heavy. Breakdown at the end is br00t4l. | 3 | U,U,D,D,L,R,L,R,A,B,Select,Start
Very unique coming from the Deftones, and possibly one of the best instrumentals i've heard. As is a good
portion of the album, it gives off this dark, dreary aura for it's whole 4:12 run-time. Perfect song to chill to
during a dark and rainy day. | 2 | Beware
A truly haunting song with some monster riffs towards the end. Chino's cries of "Beware the water" are
undisputably the high point of the song though. It's beautiful in the most chilling way possible. | 1 | Cherry Waves
Absolutely beautiful song. Starts off sounding very creepy and atmospheric before Chi's uplifting, euphoric
bass riff comes in. The chorus is equally euphoric and entrancing. I can picture myself right by the ocean,
waves crashing around me and all that good stuff while I listen to this song, as cheesy as that sounds. | |

04.07.10 | 3-6 were quite difficult to rank | TomServo
04.07.10 | i love this album. my ranking would be close, i would just move 3 much lower and flip 1 and 2. I love how heavy the ending of beware is. | bloc
04.07.10 | 2 1 5 are my top three in that order. | Inveigh
04.07.10 | I'm with ya on the top 2, but I'd have Xerces and Kimdracula higher and Mein lower. | BigHans
04.07.10 | 7 Needs to be higher. | Inveigh
04.07.10 | ^yeah, I'd have 7 at 4 probably, right behind Cherry Waves, Beware and Kimdracula, it's about on par with Xerces for me. | Yazz_Flute
04.07.10 | Well 1-8 are all really good songs, 3-8 are subject to change but that's how i'm feeling it right now. 3 is perfect as an instrumental imo, and 4 is straight intense. 7 was one of my initial favorites but it wore off me slightly, and Xerces is gorgeous but I feel like it could have been a little more powerful. | coneren
04.07.10 | 5 and 8 would be higher on my list, but it really is hard to rank | luci
04.07.10 | I'd switch 1 and 2. Album is hit and miss for me overall, it isn't as consistent as Diamond Eyes. | wojodta
04.07.10 | i agree with the top 2 | Yazz_Flute
04.07.10 | I have Cherry Waves above Beware simply because Beware seems to drag very, very slightly.
Jeeze this lasted about 45 minutes on the front page. | Yazz_Flute
04.07.10 | ugh the site condensed my profile pic too much | Yazz_Flute
04.07.10 | most of the other songs are better | Torii
04.07.10 | Agree. | Yazz_Flute
04.08.10 | would....youOOooOOooOOooOO | YouAreMySilence
04.08.10 | 1 is best. | ManicDemise
04.23.10 | Kimdracula is too high and Rapture & Hole In The Earth are too low. |
