Bassdemon Ranks Diamond Eyes

I know I'm one of many that have made this list, but I havent done this before and I feel this album is a good place to start.
1Deftones
Prince

I know everyone is making comparisons to RX Queen, but I love this song. The chorus is awesome and Sergio Vega shows off his bass skills in the verses. Everything comes together to make an amazing song
2Royal

Not only does this song change gears constantly and always prove to be a perfect example of how the Deftones can sound soft and brutal in the same song, but the ending stands as one of the most intense moments in their entire discography. This song proves that Chino is amazing.
3Beauty School

I can't think of another song where the band have sounded so calm and beautiful. The melodic gitar sweeps, the gripping bass lines, the ambient textures, the soaring vocals...its all here. The best slow song they have ever done.
4Diamond Eyes

Its hard not to rate this higher. One of my favorite songs on the record, this song goes from melodic verses with heavy Carpenter riffing into an amazing heartfelt chorus from Chino which all closes with an ending that induces immediate headbanging. It also shows how Delgato can add a n incredible texture to the chorus, giving Chino even more power and making the song all the more intense and emotional.
5CMND/CTRL

I always found this song to be extremely fun. The verses and the chorus are extremely catchy and the riffs are among the most heavy on the entire record. The bridge also shows how Carpenter and Delgato can combine perfectly.
6Rocket Skates

The first single is still a really good song. The intense riffs and the chorus stick in your head for days.
7Sextape

Another great slow song. This shows off Chinos amazing vocal range and is one of themost melodic songs on the album. Another song that showcases Carpenters great melodies in his riffing.
8This Place Is Death

This song would be better if it was longer and had a more epic ending, but I love the lyrics and the overall feel of the song. Chino takes the spotlight in this one.
9Risk

I like how the heavy riffing combines with the melody of the song, similar to the title track. Another great chorus here.
10You've Seen The Butcher

The riffing is what gets me on here. Its extremely good. Chino also lets loose on his wailing.
11976-EVIL

This isnt too bad of a song, the chorus is very powerful and the lyrics are great, but its just lacking in comparison to everything else on here. Still good though.
