04.03.10 | Interesting list by sticking to first generation black metal, although i never really considered Sodom black metal. |
TheSpirit

04.03.10 | Pretty unneccessary list. It's a well-known fact that these bands are considered "influential" to the creation of black metal. You only have to go to wikipedia to find this out. |

Buccaneer
04.03.10 | Oh ya, i didnt mean it like that.
It's just that this list is similar to creating a list titled "Big Four of Thrash" and then listing Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax.
I just thought it was pretty obvious that these bands were influential to black metal. |
TheSpirit
04.03.10 | yeah i see what you mean. and yeah the bands are pretty obvious although the inclusion of sodom and mercyful fate are somewhat interesting |
Edwin

04.04.10 | sodom is a black metal band in obssessed by cruelty, well not black metal.
and mercyful fate carried characteristics like the face paint and satanic lyrics.
and also it's supposed to be venom first and sodom last. |
eggsvonsatan
04.04.10 | I always considered Celtic Frost to be more Thrash than Black metal. |
Hawks
04.04.10 | Well yeah a lot of people consider all of these bands thrash, but yeah they were all obviously influential to black metal. |
