Thanatopsis 03.29.10	Just because it's not your favorite album doesn't make it bad music, nor is it "eighth grade wankery". There is something about them that appeals to me more than other bands, and if you stopped to look at other bands I enjoy, maybe you would have seen something that would have kept you from making an ignorant comment.

Thanatopsis 03.29.10	I agree that I Am Abomination has little in the way of songwriting skills, but I would definitely debate with you about TFOT not having songwriting skills. Ghostship/Phantom was amazing in terms of songwriting (well in all terms actually). Lol at Owl City rating.

LiquidVelvet 04.01.10	I love plenty of bands that play technically. I love THIS band, in fact. However, saying they're your favourite band ever......I dunno, that kinda tells me that you don't look for anything very deep in your music. I stopped and looked at other bands you enjoy, as you suggested, and the first thing I came across was Avenged Sevenfold. Maybe not the best suggestion you've ever made, eh?
LiquidVelvet 04.01.10	Also, Human Abstract are one of the first bands I noticed in your pie chart. And hell yeah, I enjoy Owl City. But his music has NO depth, hence why I would never ever ever call him a favourite, or even GOOD. Simply enjoyable. My favourites are Worship, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Brand New, Bon Iver--bands who ride on the strength of putting real EMOTION in the music, not just making fun stuff. Yeah, fun music is awesome, but it shouldn't be all you enjoy.

Thanatopsis 04.01.10	Panic! At the Disco is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine, and I really can't explain why I do like them so much. Linkin Park is more of a nostalgia thing, and I really appreciated their music, at least up until "Minutes to Midnight" and their new album (which both suck). I have liked Avenged Sevenfold since their first album came out. Sure their last two albums have been mediocre, but I enjoy listening to them (and STST and WTF are great albums in my opinion). As far as depth goes, I think PTH is deep, read their lyrics. To others, they ay seem intelligent for the sake of being intelligent, or pretentious, but I really like their concepts. Same goes for BTBAM, same for The Human Abstract, same for a lot of the bands I like. I like emotion too, don't get me wrong, but I appreciate intelligent lyrics much more.
