Latest Diggs

Albums I've been listening to a lot lately. In particular, I've been kind of getting into Alt/Indie stuff, so some recs would be nice as well.
1No Consequence
In The Shadow of Gods

Technical Melodic Metalcore. I thought it sounded ridiculous at first too, but this album is just pure awesomeness.
2Fatal Recoil
Malicious

I've been listening to this album for like 2 months now, and I still love it. Deathcore that's actually good.
3Hacksaw to the Throat
Wastelands

I'm really disappointed I'm just now hearing of this album, it's utterly amazing.
4Brand New
Daisy

Been listening to this, and The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me, and I initially was put off by the vocals, but now I'm really falling in love with this band.
5Burzum
Det Som Engang Var

I've known of Burzum, and the story behind it for some time now, but never really bothered with the actual music, but this album is really good. It's not what I expected a Burzum album to sound like, and lately I've been getting into what I call "real" black metal. See below.
6Vlad Tepes/Belketre
March to the Black Holocaust

This album really blew me away, the riffs are like nothing I've ever heard before. I typically don't like BM with piss poor quality, but with this album I don't mind.
7Fang Island
Fang Island

Yet another Alt/Indie album I've been liking a lot lately.
8Chevelle
Vena Sera

I grew up with Chevelle, and remember hearing them on the radio, but I never really paid them much attention, but for some reason lately they've really clicked with me. I generally despise mainstream rock, but Chevelle is really something special. I've been listening not only to Vena Sera, but also This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In), and Wonder What's Next. I'm also meaning to check out their latest album sometime in the near future.
9Lil Wayne
No Ceilings

Ok, so I'm actually really embarassed by this one. Even though I only like a few songs (probably still "a few" too many), I can't help but feel dirty after I listen to this album. I really love "real" hip-hop, and Lil Wayne doesn't really fit into that title, but honestly as long as you don't take him to seriously, his music is pretty enjoyable, and hilarious. "No Ceilings, mutha fucka good morning / Dick in yo mouth while you yawnin / im gonein" - How can you not laugh at that.
10Broken Bells
Broken Bells

Found this one on the front page, obviously, and it's pretty decent. Think I gave it a 4.
