Bands That I Believed Created The Best Music Known To Man...

I was once 13.
10Nothing else.
9Nothing else.
8Black Rebel Motorcycle Band

I have nothing bad to say about this band. I really dont. All I have to say is 'Howl'.
7Machine Head

Still quite good, not the greatest though. 'The Blackening' was shown to me via a friend, and that got me back into the guy again. As I learnt to play "A Farewell to Arms", this album captivated me as a darker, heavier hybrid to Iron Maiden.
6Atreyu

My friend, who is now no longer into metal/hardcore/metalcore, introduced me to this crap a couple of years ago. I don't know what I was thinking by today's standards, but 'Lead Sails, Paper Anchor''s small amounts of catchiness hooked me indefinately, like whe you're fishing and you catch a small fish but the fucker bites the hook too deep so it hooks up into thier eye, and you do everything to say it but then the blood starts to dribble outta its god damn eye, man.
5Korn

Haha, fucking grill me.
4Queens of the Stone Age

Still highly respected amongst my musical brain, when I smoke pot for the first time I will listen to "You Got a Killer Scene There, Man" and absolutely fuck myself sideways.
3Rage Against the Machine

A great band, which coincided with my love of other heavy/ier bands. I still absolutely love the shit out of this band, thier politically fuelled lyrics heavily influencing the way i think. The way they teamed up with Michael Moore to stop American capitalism, albeit for a short time in the filming of "Sleep Now in the Fire" remains one of my favorite musical moments ever.
2Stone Sour

Spawning off the love I had for the masked crusaders, I bought a t-shirt of thiers, feeling awesome. To be honest, I still do respect this band, as I do with any. But still, I was wrong about thier creation of the greatest music ever.
1Slipknot

Quite typical of a 13 year old, my fat, disgustingly haried friend who is no longer my friend burnt me a CD of all the bands he'd discovered since he started high school. Filled with the depressive sounds of the strange bands I once used to condemn, Slipknot stood out with the two songs that appeared on this mix-tape. "Spit It Out" was pretty cool back in the day, and "Duality" still is.
