After losing their singer, its become obvious how talented he truly was due to the fact that he was replaced by TWO singers, one for the melodic singing and the other for the growls but the album is very much one that is in par with the last one which was a masterpiece and they have done well to cope with the changes. | | 8 |  | Rammstein

What is the first thing these guys do on their well anticipated return? They go and release a porn video for their first single of this album and cause mayhem and controversy, even this late into their career, they never lost their sense of humour and this is a solid album, again, nothing has changed musically, very German, very Rammstein to me! | | 7 |  | Throwdown

Never been a big fan of these guys in their past, they were your average typical hardcore band but they have gone in a very Pantera direction and the singer for the first time on this album starts using clean vocals!!! The power of this band is just immense!! For this release only, they have decided to experiment a little and go for something that was out of their elements and it works to a certain extent but not always, the reason why this is at 3 is because of those true Devildriver songs alone deserve to be recognised, roll on the next album!! This album is by no means perfect but just what i was hoping for from the ex-Fear Factory members to do and it does live up to my expectations and things will surely get better from here onwards if they don't give up.

03.19.10 | Sick of people on sputnik repeating "listen to more music"..stop being a sheep and just listen to what you want to people. Fucking opeth (extremely overrated), converge, cryptopsy (although none so vile is amazing, don't just listen to it because it seems to be like a sputnik right of pasage) the same thing over and over it's actually people like THESE who need to listen to more music.
3, 5, 8 and 10 are good. |
