| Overrated Artists
Just a few artists I think get more respect than they deserve. THIS DOES NOT MEAN I HATE THEM. Some I may like, but I think are overly popular.
Not in any sort of order, and only includes 10 of the many bands I think are overrated. | | 1 | Aerosmith
When people say this is the greatest American rock band ever, that is a huge overstatement. For one, you can't rank bands, and two, they are in no way the best. | | 2 | Red Hot Chili Peppers
Californication was amazing, and I do really like these guys, but a lot of their work is not amazing as most make it seem. | | 3 | Green Day
Green Day was great back in the day, but then came American Idiot, and that era ended. | | 4 | Blink-182

I've stated it before, but this band really isn't that great. Their latest album proved that they are unwilling to mature. Still, some are obsessed with them. | | 6 | Nirvana
Sure, they were pioneers of grunge, but I do not think they deserve the amazing amount of praise they get, especially with other bands like Pearl Jam coming out of the same era. | | 7 | Fall Out Boy
Pretty much everything in Fall Out Boy's repertoire has been done by countless other bands before. They receive great praise, yet are unique in no way. | | 8 | Coldplay
I don't hate Coldplay. I think they are alright. In fact, I think they get too much hate at the same time as getting too much love. | | 9 | The Beach Boys
I like some of their stuff, but for god's sake, how much of it could they possibly make? They are beloved, but too much. | | 10 | AC/DC
AC/DC has some good hits, but the obsession over them is only for those hits. I never hear anyone talk about any tracks besides Highway to Hell or Back in Black. | |
