03.12.10 | An awesome deal.
I've wanted these albums for a long time. |
Crysis
03.12.10 | Seems like a nice break from their usual buttfuckingly high prices. |
OhAliceMonster
03.12.10 | I agree man. Those are great deals |
ninjuice
03.12.10 | We are not big enough to have an FYE apparently. There's a Sam Goody though, and I seem to remember those being affiliated. |
BenX02
03.12.10 | I know their normal prices are ridiculous. I actually don't know how temporary this deal is though. Because I went there a few months ago and it was the same thing.
You guys should go check it out. |
Crysis
03.12.10 | Regardless, though, I'd still rather support the few independently-run record shops in my town. They are more deserving. |
Ire
03.12.10 | i'd rather pay $13 for a cd at a local record store than feeding those greedy fye bastards. |
BenX02
03.12.10 | So would I, if I had any local record stores. |
MusicIsMyFavorite
03.12.10 | FUCK FYE. I pre-ordered 1 WAAAAY back because they said they'd include a free shirt with it. Album came 4 days after it was released with no shirt. I WAS PIIIIIIISSED |
disposablehero94
03.12.10 | barnes and noble is ridiculously overpriced! at least $15 or more for any cd in that place. Btw, bummer you couldnt get undertow and aenima |
AndManyMore
03.12.10 | omg! 50 cents! to bad im outta money.. and when i have money i spend it on alcohol.. cause im a tool like that. |
Dylan620
03.12.10 | I got Radiohead's Kid A and Opeth's Blackwater Park at F.Y.E. just the other day. Awesome, awesome selection. |
BenX02
03.13.10 | They do have an awesome selection. They didn't have any of the three Opeth albums I don't have though. |
intothepit83
03.13.10 | Don't support FYE. Support your local record stores, support your local music scenes. You go to FYE and a lil part of god dies. |
BallsToTheWall
03.13.10 | yah, just bought a Boris/sunno record for 10. Will probaly go back tomorrow. |
FeralMemories
03.13.10 | My FYE is closing down, all albums are 60% off. The sale has been going on for a month now. I got 1,2,3 for like 5 bucks a piece, plus like 20 other albums all for like 100 dollars. |
JulesWin
03.13.10 | "i'd rather pay $13 for a cd at a local record store than feeding those greedy fye bastards"
yea but they'll be going out of biz soon, some are already closing |
cvlts
03.13.10 | bought a prty bitchin ME2 poster there yesterday |
Ire
03.13.10 | "yea but they'll be going out of biz soon, some are already closing"
you missed the point, the point is supporting a local store a not large chain like fye. |
Countess
03.13.10 | @ safetysynyster
but the point is who cares about supporting a large chain store if they're going under already?
people will be flocking like vultures once those "going out of business sale" signs start popping up |
Ire
03.13.10 | i get it and it makes a lot of sense because you're saving cash
but that's still money that could support a local record store. |
Sowing
03.13.10 | is it all fye's that are doing that? if not i think i live near the same fye...
anyway, 9.99 cd sales are the only thing that could get me to set foot in an fye. normally they are such a huge rip off charging 19.99 or more for stuff you can download for half the price |
Dylan620
03.13.10 | I can understand why people want money spent supporting local record stores instead of huge chains. In fact I've witnessed why for myself. There used to be this great local record store not far from my house, but it closed down due to lacking income. A sad, sad phenomenon indeed. |
WvaSkittle
03.17.10 | dont have any local record stores so i go to fye but almost all the metal albums are in the $10-$13 range which isnt that bad. |
