03.11.10 | One of my best friends in junior high, about 2003 - he was the first person to talk to me on my first day there - drowned a couple years ago. We hadn't spoken since junior high, but it still affected me. He was actually missing for a couple weeks until a man and his son went fishing in the lake and found his body. He was a good guy.
But the death of a childhood friend doesn't even compare to the heartache of the death of a close family member. My dad passed away last year. I was nineteen. Just focus on the good things and you'll get through it. Drinking helped me get it out. I cried so much every time I drank. I think I'm far better off for drinking. But don't drink too much. |

03.11.10 | I should note that the family members I've lost have consisted of grandparents (2) and an uncle. Still sad, but I'm sure it doesn't compare to losing a parent. |
Parallels
03.11.10 | im having the lowest time since my parents divorce right now...
i got hit by a car and because i was in the ER the lady who hit me completely made it seem like it was my fault, so im getting a citation, along with an insurance company who dosent want to pay the fucking insane 150,000. plus i broke up with my girlfriend and im feeling horrible, i have a double concussion and my reflexes for drumming are shot. Its cost me my job and now my college classes are stalled up, i may loose my scholarship and have to pay it back too. satans really trying to f me up right now. |

03.11.10 | sorry for your loss bro. Late 2009 and early 2010 have been rough for me too. I lost both grandparents on my mom's side and my mom suffered a heart attack (thankfully she survived).
Rock out to track one from Disco Volante by Mr. Bungle. I think it's meant to be slightly humorous, but man is it true. Depending on where you grew up and the kind of people you hung out with, once you get to our age you begin losing a lot of friends. I went to two high schools (one in St. Louis and one in Chicago) and 14 of my friends/classmates have already passed. And those are just the ones that I know of. From drunk driving to OD's to shootings/stabbings to dying overseas in Iraq or Afgahnistan I've lost a lot of friends. Condolences my friend.
On a side note, care to psychoanalyze users based on their music tastes with me? I think that'd be fun. |

03.12.10 | This is bleak, man. Speaking from experience, I'd recommend avoiding drink. Just do what you can for the people who are still around. Best of luck, dude. |
