| Riff City
Some of my favorite riffs, If anyone could rec me similar stuff that would be great! | 1 | Gojira Flying Whales
The first time i listened to this i was kind of disappointed when i heard the distorted guitars come in after the long tool-esk intro. Now i think it's one of the best things to ever happen in a song. | 2 | Strapping Young Lad Relentless
The "Breakdown" in this song is the bees knees, I don't know a great deal about drums or production but the symbols sound so awesome on this album and this track specifically. | 3 | Pig Destroyer Heathen Temple
Probably the heaviest band i would listen too, this song has three of the best riffs i have ever heard but the ending one takes the cake. | 4 | Metallica And Justice For All...
I love when that main riff kicks in after the solo, too bad the song has to drag on after that. | 5 | Slayer Skeletons of Society
Boom! | 6 | Slipknot Surfacing
I know a lot of people don't care for this band but i still dig their first two albums, some of the most genuinely depressing, angry and heavy stuff I've heard. The intro to this song is great. | 7 | Carcass Rot 'N' Roll
The live version of this is more up-tempo and perfect, 2nd riff is the tits. | 8 | Fear Factory Slave Labour
Every one seems to like their knew album but i personally think Archetype is much better. I prefer the other drummer and i think Gene is over-rated, not going on technicality cos i don't play drums but the old guy seemed to have much better "groove". Plus i like to play this song on guitar. | 9 | Gojira In The Forest
Only heard the live version off the link alive, and when the heavy guitars kick in it's so tight. And after such a long show too. Could list a lot of Gojira songs but i tried to keep it to 2. | 10 | Sepultura Refuse/resist
Catchiest metal song, short and sweet. All riffs are great | 11 | Song
I also prefer clean vocals, even tho most of these don't have them... | 12 | Band Song | 13 | Song | 14 | Song | 15 | Song | 16 | Song | 17 | Song | 18 | Song | 19 | Song | 20 | Song | |

03.07.10 | 4 is amazing. I'm surprised you don't have any Megadeth rated, so check out them if you haven't already. Their album Rust In Peace has some truly incredible riffs. Also Testament are another really solid thrash band you'll probably like them. | charles2000
