Kid A Ranked
This album is my favorite of all time. It is chilling, breath taking, and
so emotional. Just phenomenal. |
| 1 | Radiohead Motion Picture Soundtrack
The (second) best track radiohead has ever made. The lyrics are so
heartbreaking and depressing. The harp that goes in always gives me
goosebumps and on the verge of tears. It's a frighteningly emotional song. |
| 2 | How to Disappear Completely
Another emotionally frightening song. The only way to listen to this song is
in complete darkness. Amazing track. |
| 3 | Idioteque
A post apocalyptic masterpiece. These lyrics truly encompass the whole
mood of the album. The overload of technology and the alienation and
paranoia that it brings. |
| 4 | Radiohead Kid A
I did not understand this song until about the 20th time I heard it. Before
that, i just thought it was the weirdest track. This track does take some
time to get used to, but once it all sinks in, it is one of the best and
rewarding experiences in music. |
| 5 | Radiohead Everything in its Right Place
The best opening song from any Radiohead album. And that's saying
something considering gems like Airbag, 15 Step, 2+2=5, and Packt like
Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box are all amazing songs. The song is perfect to
begin this album because, while accessible, shows the electronic change
that Radiohead brings with the album. |
| 6 | Treefingers
An ambient masterpiece. Relaxing. While this track alone would not make it
this high on the list, the placement of this after "How to Disappear
Completely" helps continue the listener to disappear and float down the
Liffy. Helps let one escape life and everything. |
| 7 | Radiohead The National Anthem
The cacophony of horns in this track is brilliant. It shows the state of what
seems to be the end of the world or nearing it. As mass chaos is spreading
everywhere and everyone has got fear. |
| 8 | Radiohead Optimistic
This is a truly brilliant song. One of the best guitar driven tracks that
Radiohead has ever made. If this was on any other album it would be in the
top 3. I believe the only reason it is this low is because it is the odd song
out as the only guitar driven song on the album. |
| 9 | Radiohead Morning Bell
The 5/4 rhythm on this track really makes it the fantastic track that it is.
Also, the "whale sound" guitar near the end of the song is just fantastic. An
outstanding track. |
| 10 | Radiohead In Limbo
This track is amazing. For this track to be at the bottom just goes to show
how amazing this album is. The reason why this is at the bottom is lyrically
it is nothing special. And musically it isn't better than anything else on the
album. It is an outstanding track nonetheless. |
