12 Gauge is awesome guys. It's not much of a departure in sound from The Black Waltz or
For the Revolution though I would say there is a little extra shred like in their earlier albums.
Predominantly deeper vocals but it is varied a bit. It was already released in Japan but i'll get
to reviewing it for the official release date. Right now I think it's their strongest since They
Will Return. List is top 25 Kalmah songs, excluding songs from 12 Gauge. Though I will say

03.25.10 | I was pretty disappointed by 12 Gauge to be honest. Though I might have gone in the opposite way as you, with relatively high expectations. Whereas I'm sure I'll never see another Swamplord or They Will Return, but this felt a little too close to For the Revolution (though a little weaker to me) and too little like Black Waltz to keep me interested. I dunno, I've spun it three for four times, I'll give it a few more times and see if she's a grower. |
